FB Electrical Services is a Needham, MA electrician whose written record stretches back to 2015 — generator installs, rewiring older homes, and the odd job other electricians turned down. Better Business Bureau lists the company at an A+, and the two directories that track it put it near the top of the scale: 5.0 stars from 13 ratings on Houzz, 4.5 from 28 on Angi. Most of what's written about them is dated — the bulk of the reviews run from 2015 through 2021, with only one written in the last six months — but the story across that stretch is consistent. Generator work comes up again and again: in a 2015 review, one customer said the crew took on a food-truck generator problem "other companies pushed aside," and another described Gene giving a fair price on a Costco generator and guiding them through the town's approval process. A 2015 reviewer had the company run interconnected fire alarm wiring through a five-story condo building's common areas, minimizing wall penetrations and committing to patch and paint afterward. The newest review on file, from 2021, described a clean second job putting in new outlets that blended into the original construction. The record isn't spotless. In a 2017 review, a customer described being charged a diagnostic fee before any repair options were laid out, and said the switch that was "fixed" still didn't work afterward. A 2015 review flagged a scheduling mixup through HomeAdvisor that left a job costing five times the original estimate, and a 2016 review said a replaced outside light simply didn't work. Houzz also lists a license number, 18001-A, for the company — that's the directory's own record, not something checked against the state registry. FB looks like the right call for generator installs, panel and outlet work, and odd electrical problems other shops won't take on — just get a clear, itemized quote before the truck rolls, given the billing complaint on file.
We have worked with this group three times over the past few years for different projects. They are excellent. Very trustworthy, excellent work, and good communication and reliability. I would recommend them to anyone with confidence.
The technician did a very good job. They did their job alone without bothering me and the work quality is very high. Customer service is good as well. Very easy to communicate
Second time using FB Electrical. Both times involved putting in new outlets. The work was professional, efficient and well priced. They were also very clean as when they were done you would think the outlets were part of the original construction. Matt C., West Newton
We had just moved into an older home that had very few lights throughout. We contracted FB Electrical to add recessed lights throughout the home and figure out why the separate garage had no electricity (at all) even though there were electrical outlets available. The FB team worked diligently for 3 days and cleaned up after their work everyday. They took care to make sure nothing was broken and covered our furniture to ensure cleanliness. Making holes in drywall is a dirty task but they made it as clean as possible. We will be contacting them for future projects.
They are very professional, very knowledgeable, did everything on time and I have no complaints whatsoever.
