Fix It With Nako is built around one kind of call: the oil burner that dies on the coldest morning of the year, or the boiler that quits mid-snowstorm. The company's own history says it's a family operation that has served the East Boston area and surrounding towns for almost 35 years, now run out of Peabody and owner-operated by Nako, a technician with more than three decades on the job. The volume of praise is striking for what looks like a small, hands-on operation: a 4.9-star average across 86 Google ratings, closely matched by 94 reviews on Birdeye and 85 on hvacservice.io. Across sources, the same thread keeps showing up — same-day or within-the-hour arrivals during genuine heating emergencies, with one roundup noting six of seven reviewers pointing to that speed alongside fair pricing. The last six months back that up with specifics. In June, a customer described Nako fixing a no-hot-water problem and, in the same visit, diagnosing a low-water-pressure issue affecting two showers that had gone unsolved for 30 years. In March, another needed an emergency oil tank replacement and had the permits pulled and materials ordered the same day. In February, someone who had already paid a different technician for a month of failed furnace repairs got the real problem found and fixed within an hour of calling. During a January snowstorm, a customer with frozen pipes and no heat got an after-hours callback and a same-visit fix. Not every recent call went as smoothly. One March review described a scheduled cleaning appointment cancelled the day of, attributed to overbooking, after what the customer felt was a curt response to photos they'd sent ahead of the visit. Worth asking about if you're booking routine maintenance rather than an emergency repair, since the specific praise above is almost entirely about no-heat crises, not scheduled tune-ups. This reads like the contractor to call when the heat is actually out, not necessarily the easiest one to pin down for a flexible-timeline tune-up. Get a firm appointment window if your visit isn't urgent, and expect deep, hands-on expertise with older oil systems once he's there.

Nako is a magician. He solved my Immediate problem of having no hot water and also figured out why we could not run two showers at the same time. This has been happening for over 30 years and no one else has been able to solve it. Smart guy, takes time to educate the consumer, and provides superb service. I highly recommend!!

Nake did an oil burner tune up for us. His price was fair and he did a thorough job. We'll using his service again.

Unprofessional . I scheduled an appointment two and a half weeks ago and I even took pictures of the burner to help them too make it easier but I also got a stupid response back on one of my pictures that I took , I let that slide because I just needed a service and cleaning . Well he just called me saying he had to reschedule on the day of the appointment because of over booking. What a waste of time and energy. Be prepared for cancellations and no shows if you book with them.

A pleasure to do business with Nako. I had the same day response to my issue. He promptly handled all permits and ordered materials needed. Nako worked on my emergency oil tank replacement.. He listened to my concerns and came ASAP. He came on time, worked steadily and then cleaned up completely. Price was good, work ethic excellent. I will use him again.

After a month of oil furnace issues and multiple visits from another tech who kept replacing the wrong parts, I was frustrated and out more money with no solution. I called Fix It With Nako and he showed up within an hour.<br>Nako ran proper diagnostics, quickly identified the real issue, and recommended a fix that actually worked. Professional, knowledgeable, and honest. I only wished I called him sooner. Highly recommend!
