Danvers HVACR Heating and Cooling LLC is a northeast Massachusetts heating and cooling company working on both homes and businesses. Its pitch is unusually technical for a small HVAC shop: it says it calculates exact heating and cooling loads rather than sizing by rule of thumb, argues at length that an oversized system short-cycles and leaves hot and cold spots, and states that its technicians are not paid on commission — the point being that no one has a sales quota to hit at your expense. The service work backs that up on paper: a combustion test on every heat service call whatever the fuel — gas, oil or propane — plus an ambient carbon monoxide test in the home, annual condenser cleaning and maintenance, maintenance plans, and full system design and replacement. Customers who have hired them are consistent, if few. Google shows a 5-star average from four ratings, and all four written comments are positive. In an April 2025 review a customer whose oil container broke wrote that "the tech was nothing short of amazing" and "saved the day". A February 2025 comment cited "Great customer service fair and honest pricing", and in October 2024 another customer called it a "Great company, quality work, honest technician, fast service" after work at their home, saying they would hire again. A second October 2024 reviewer described being anxious about picking an HVAC company at all — worried about being overcharged — before calling this one on a friend's recommendation. The caveat is volume, not tone: four reviews spanning October 2024 to April 2025 is a small base to judge from, and every one of them is five stars, so there is no counterweight in the record. For a homeowner who wants a properly sized replacement system and a heat call that includes a combustion and CO check, this is a credible small operator to get a quote from. Ask for the Massachusetts licence and insurance details in writing, and ask them to show you the load calculation behind whatever system they propose.

The tech was nothing short of amazing. Our oil container broke and this guy saved the day. You will not be disappointed with the company. 20/10 would recommend!

Where do I begin. Obviously when dealing with anything HVAC related you really need to hire someone you can trust. We were anxious about choosing a company because you never know who you are going to get, if they’re going to know what they’re talking about, overcharge you, etc. Danvers HVAC was recommended to us by a friend who had a great experience, so we gave them a call. I can not say enough good things about this company. The first thing we noticed? They answer their phone and are quick to respond. We called because our heating system wasn’t working and we have an infant so it was kind of an emergency, they had someone out the same day AND our heat was back on the same day. We had the pleasure of the owner taking our call and coming to our home. The amount of knowledge this man had was unbelievable. He answered all of our questions, explained our heating system to us in a way we could understand, and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He also didn’t treat us like we were idiots like some people from these companies do. You could tell he cared about us having a good experience and that he truly just wanted to help us get our heat back on. The pricing was also fair! Fast forward a few months- our water heater went. Another emergency. We knew who to call! Tom came back out to our house, diagnosed the issue, unfortunately our water heater was just too old and needed to be replaced, but he replaced it, got us a good deal, and had our hot water back on faster than we could’ve imagined. Again with an infant, not having hot water was a nightmare. Having a company we could depend on to get the job done right and fast was so important. All in all, we will never be using anyone else for anything HVAC related. Danvers HVAC is just a great company with great people and we really can’t say enough good things. If you want a company you can trust to do the job right, is knowledgeable, won’t charge you an arm and a leg, and cares about you and your family go with Danvers HVAC. I’d even go as far as to tell you to ask for the owner, Tom, just all around an awesome guy who knows his stuff. We look forward to having Danvers HVAC back to install our central air before next summer!
