Folan Waterproofing & Construction is a South Easton firm that says it's been family-run since 1969, now in its third generation, and is a state-certified Women Business Enterprise. Its own description centers on masonry restoration, historic preservation, and waterproofing and sealant work on building-construction projects — the kind of specialized, older-building expertise that isn't every contractor's focus. There isn't much of a written record to go on: just two reviews on file. One is a bare five-star tag with no detail. The other, from 2021, describes a mill-building restoration project in Brockton where the customer said staff were rude and unprofessional, ignored specific requests from the architect and conservator, did the bare minimum, and left the job unfinished — bad enough that another contractor had to be hired to fix it. That same account also appears, in the same words, on the client's own website. A 2021 Boston Globe feature on the company, around the same time, described a workplace known for staff loyalty and respect — a different angle (how Folan treats its own people, not how it treated that client's job), but worth knowing both exist. Given how few written accounts there are, it's worth asking directly about a recent, comparable historic-restoration job and getting a clear scope and finish timeline in writing before signing on for a project like the Brockton one.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Folan Waterproofing & Construction. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Not sure which you need? Start with an inspection — many reputable companies assess free, and independent assessments run up to $500.
The wall run getting the drain — a full 30×40 ft basement is about 140 ft.

“This third-generation restoration and waterproofing company in South Easton is dedicated to treating every employee with respect and support. It's an attitude that has earned Folan tremendous loyalty from its employees, some of whom were already working there when the current owners were children.”

Your waterproofing experts.
Folan worked on a restoration project for us on a mill building in Brockton. The staff is very rude & unprofessional. They ignored many of the specific requests the architect and conservator had called out. They did the bare minimum and never finished the project to satisfaction. For the cost we expected a much more professional job and had to hire another contractor to fix their mistakes. Avoid this company!
