Frank Lamparelli Oil is a fourth-generation family business (per its own site) that Better Business Bureau records list as founded in Canton in 1929 — a heating-oil, propane and Bioheat delivery company that also installs and services boilers, furnaces and AC systems across the South Shore. It carries a BBB A+ rating. The strongest thread through the record is loyalty: customers who've stuck around 15, 16, even 20+ years keep describing the same thing — a call that gets answered fast. A vacationing homeowner in a February 2023 review described a freeze alert going off while away; the on-call technician coordinated with a family member to get inside and had the heat working again the same day. In a September 2025 review, a customer whose oil tank started leaking got a callback in six minutes and a technician at the door within the hour. Another, in a September 2022 review, said a Saturday leak call was fixed within the hour under an annual service contract. That's not the whole picture, though. A June 2026 review is sharply negative — the customer says a boiler cleaning skipped the filter and nozzle, a plumber referral was needed for a separate leak, and accuses the company of curating its public reviews to hide complaints (an allegation this record can't verify, but worth knowing about). A 2023 review focused specifically on air conditioning describes recurring problems every year since a unit installed four or five years earlier, calling the install poorly engineered. A November 2024 review describes a two-day wait for a repair, the customer's own father diagnosing and buying the part, and then being locked out of the house. Rude front-desk or receptionist encounters come up in more than one review (2023, 2025). This reads like a business that does right by its long-standing oil-heat customers on routine and emergency calls, but the complaints cluster specifically around AC installs, billing and delivery scheduling, and front-office tone — worth asking pointed questions about before signing on for an installation, and confirming who to call for follow-up if the front desk is the first stop.

The worst company ever. Dumb techs. The come to clean the boiler and dont change the filter or nozzle. Spend more time talking then getting work done. Had a leak and was told I had to get a plumber. They suck. They also can go into there reviews and cut out all the bad reviews and keep the good. Im sure they have people right alot of the reviews. There techs are picked up in Canton that live on the street give them a van and send them out if there was a lower star they would have it
Always, always outstanding. Have been with Lamparelli for 16 years - and everytime I have to call - I am so thankful to be in their care. From Gayle who is always so helpful from an admin area, to Rich whose been out to service my boiler on multiple occasions - I am always given the best service, incredible peace of mind, and they work FAST. I called an hour ago for service - and Rich just left. If I could give ten stars, I would. Thank you all!
We have thankfully been with Lamparelli Oil for over 20 years. The annual tune-ups and emergency repairs through their heating oil maintenance program have given us peace of mind throughout the years. It's like having AAA for your boiler! We called for an emergency repair this morning and the knowledgeable technician had the problem resolved within hours. Highly recommend.
Not a happy customer right now. On one of the coldest days of the year. Called to schedule a propane delivery of a 100 gallons? Was told they would not deliver it because they can't keep coming out to deliver 100 gallons. Was forced to get a complete refill in order to get a delivery of propane. IDK ?? This doesn't sound right and unfair to treat a customer???
