On a Saturday in February 2023, with the thermometer at 7 below, a customer's 94-year-old mother lost her heat. Freedom Air answered, and the reviewer wrote that TJ was prompt and fixed it. That is the call this Everett shop keeps getting. Freedom Air Mechanical Contractors works out of 54 Valley St in Everett and says it installs, repairs and replaces heating, cooling and ventilation systems across Greater Boston and MetroWest, naming Medford, Boston and Cambridge among the towns it covers. TJ leads the crew, and he is the name customers use from the first phone call through the last day of an install. Its Angi profile lists central A/C installation, service and repair, six years of experience and free estimates. The emergency calls are where the detail sits. A September 2023 customer phoned in the morning when their A/C quit during a heatwave and was told someone could be out later that same day. When another's central air went over a weekend in August 2023, the crew came Sunday night, diagnosed it and fixed it first thing Monday. In February 2024, with a new baby in the house and the heater dead around 5pm on a Wednesday, the customer wrote that TJ started troubleshooting by text before his guys arrived; they traced it to a crack in the heat exchange. The installs are not small jobs either. A July 2023 reviewer had three gas furnaces with AC put into a Medford multi-family and called the new ductwork neat and not intrusive; a February 2024 customer had central air added on the second floor and two mini-ducted splits downstairs. A 2022 job covered three heat pump systems controlling 13 separate zones. Two customers, writing in 2022 and 2023, credited TJ with getting them roughly $10,000 back on equipment — one through Mass Save on a heat pump, the other on a condenser, heat pump and furnace swap. Several reviewers single out the cleanup, among them a 2021 customer who said the team left the home spotless. One booking went badly. In October 2025 a customer took a day off work for a heat-pump quote and wrote that nobody showed and nobody called, and that phone messages and texts went unanswered. Freedom Air is a straightforward call if your heat or A/C has quit and you need someone out quickly, or if you are pricing a heat pump and want help chasing the rebates. Confirm the estimate appointment the day before and get it in writing, and ask which Mass Save incentives your equipment qualifies for before anything is ordered.

TJ is the best. helped me out when i was in pinch. very reliable. will definitely be using him again in the future!!
I made an appointment with Freedom Air to come to my home and give me a quote for heat pump installation. I took a day off work and they no call, no showed to the appointment. I left phone messages and text messages and have received no response. Very unprofessional and do not recommend.
The best in the business! Always showed up on time. My repair was done fast and smooth!
I highly recommend Freedom air for all your HVAC needs. They did all my work and I couldn’t be happier!
Great guys, great company. My AC went down and in less than 24/hrs they had me back up and running. Super professional and a pleasure to work it. Highly recommend.
