A full second floor added to a Cape, plus a 20x20 great room with vaulted ceilings — that is what one homeowner hired FVF Renovations to build, in a December 2025 review, and work at that scale runs through what its customers write. FVF works out of Saugus, and the name in most customer accounts is Frank — Frank Federico, as two 2026 reviewers write it out. In a November 2025 piece on a Saugus news site, the company's founder wrote that he started FVF at 25 and that 11 years later it is still going strong. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #211430, is active on the state registry, and BuildZoom lists 12 permitted projects. On Google the company holds 5 stars across 18 ratings, with written accounts running from 2021 through 2026. The larger jobs draw the most detailed write-ups: a July 2026 customer had a kitchen taken down to the studs and redesigned; a December 2025 homeowner had a very large addition built and wrote that the crew pointed out places the architect's plans could be improved. That same August, a couple had an old deck torn down and a new one built, and called it the most seamless and stress-free project they had had at their house. Smaller work shows up too, often for the same people twice. A homeowner who had two projects done at their daughter's home called Frank back for a new roof in August 2026. Another had a back door replaced that month and was already planning the next job; a December 2021 reviewer said the same after a front door and storm door swap. The working style reviewers describe is consistent: Frank communicative and reachable from start to finish, the crew clean and efficient on site, and materials chosen and explained before they go in — one July 2026 customer wrote that he recommends what a project actually needs rather than what fills an invoice. FVF is a sound call for structural work — an addition, a second story, a kitchen taken back to the studs — and it takes the door-and-deck jobs too. Before signing, get the scope, schedule and materials list in writing, ask how change orders are priced, and ask for the insurance certificate alongside the registration number.
“As a Saugus resident and small business owner, I understand both the challenges and opportunities our town faces. I started FVF Renovations when I was 25, and 11 years later, I’m proud that it’s still going strong. Running my own contracting business has taught me how to plan carefully, work within a budget, and deliver results people can count on, all while adapting to the unexpected. Those same skills are what good town leadership requires.”
Frank and his team recently tore down and built a new deck for my husband and I. From start to finish, it was the most seamless and stress-free project we've ever had done at our house. Frank was communicative, honest and fair. His team was professional, clean and efficient. The deck is one of the most beautiful I have EVER seen and we are so excited to use it for years to come. We would recommend FVF Renovations for any and all project needs!
Frank and his team replaced our back door and they did an awesome job! Frank is very professional and reliable. I highly recommend him. We are already planning our next project for him to complete.
I had Frank and his crew do two projects in my daughters home I can’t say enough about the quality of his work and his professionalism so when we needed a new roof of course he be the only company I call. As usual the did an outstanding job on my new roof I highly recommend this company Mike Martinello
We recently had our kitchen completely renovated by FVF Renovations, and we could not be happier. From start to finish, Frank and his team transformed our space into something far beyond what we imagined. They took the kitchen down to the studs and redesigned every inch with precision, creativity, and care. One of their most impactful suggestions was to open up the kitchen with a huge window—an idea we never would have thought of on our own. It completely transformed the space, flooding it with natural light and creating a beautiful, airy focal point. We wholeheartedly recommend FVF to anyone seeking a detail-oriented, and truly professional contractor. This team doesn’t just renovate spaces; they create dream kitchens.
FVF Renovations makes renovations easy. Their attention to detail is unmatched, before during and after the job is complete. They provide high quality craftsmanship and are very knowledgeable about the materials they are using. They are an all in one shop with licensed subcontractors that work seamlessly together to get the project done. I would highly recommend FVF if you want a contractor who cares!
