G/K Plumbing, Heating, & Air is a Waltham crew big enough that five different techs — Clayton, William, Oliver, Shawn, and Jace — each turn up by name across the reviews, rather than one person doing every job. The company says it covers Waltham with 24/7 emergency service, drain and sewer cleaning, and water heater and water line work. Forty-six written Google reviews are on file, running from late 2025 through this month, and every single one is four or five stars, against a 4.3-star average across 49 ratings on the platform. The range of jobs goes well past routine leaks: recently, William cleared a clogged drain pipe that three other plumbing companies had already quoted jackhammering the floor to reach. In a December 2025 review, a customer needed a sewer main replaced, and the crew used pipe-bursting equipment to do it without digging up the yard. Another December 2025 reviewer got a second opinion from Shawn after finding a competitor's quote high — and was told the original quote was actually fair, even though it meant G/K lost that job. Response speed comes up constantly and recently: this month, Clayton showed up in under an hour to a basement with an inch of standing water and traced the real problem to a bad drain line rather than just swapping the sump pump. Across the record, reviewers describe next-day and same-day visits becoming routine, even for jobs that started as a second or third call after another plumber couldn't fit them in. Nothing in the written record raises a specific concern — no missed appointment, surprise bill, or unfinished job turns up anywhere in the reviews on file. This reads like a shop built for both the routine call and the bigger dig — a leaking faucet or a clogged drain on one end, a sewer main or a water main reroute on the other — with enough staff that a same-day slot is the norm. Worth confirming which tech is assigned and the emergency-call terms directly, since licensing and rates aren't addressed here.

I want to share a very positive review about the professionalism and fast response I received from the plumbing team. I manage properties, and one of my restaurant clients had a major plumbing issue when their hot water heater began leaking late in the afternoon. It was clear the old unit had reached the end of its life and needed to be replaced right away. My regular plumber was unavailable because of a family emergency and referred me to Shawn. I am very glad he did. Shawn quickly arranged for a teammate to come out within hours, inspect the problem, and handle the planning and logistics for a full replacement. The team recommended a new tankless hot water system, explained the process in simple terms, and moved fast to get everything installed. They had the restaurant back up and running in about a day, which helped avoid a long shutdown and kept things moving for the business. During a stressful plumbing emergency, they stayed professional, communicated well, and delivered excellent service. Truly a 5-star plumbing team.
Amazing service. Clayton showed up in under an hour when I had more than an inch of water in my basement from a sump pump plumbing issue. I was using a borrowed submersible pump to push the water out through a hose, and I mentioned I would need to find one of my own. Clayton installed a new pump, but even though it turned on, the water was not draining correctly and kept cycling back into the sump pit. He checked the drain line with a camera and worked through the plumbing step by step. Instead of leaving when the issue turned out to be more complicated, he stayed focused and came up with a smart fix. There were two pipes in the sump pit connected by a cross pipe, and he explained that the backup pump had come loose from the pipe, which was causing the water to flow right back into the pit. He went out to get the part he needed, returned quickly with a cap and another submersible pump, then cut and capped the pipe. After that, he plugged everything in and the system worked the way it should. He also noticed a small lip around the sump pit and suggested cutting part of it so water on the basement floor could drain into the pit more easily and be pushed in with a squeegee. That extra idea made cleanup much easier. Clayton really went above and beyond, kept me calm with his good sense of humor, and made a very stressful plumbing emergency much easier to handle. Great prices, excellent workmanship, and truly outstanding help.
My outdoor hose bib snapped and water was pouring out fast, so I had to shut off the main water to the whole house and needed emergency plumbing help right away. I called G/k Plumbing, Heating, & Air, and Clayton arrived within the hour. He quickly found the shutoff for the outside line, which was hidden above the ceiling tiles, and clearly explained how it worked so I would know what to do if it ever happened again. He returned soon after with the right plumbing parts and tools to replace the spigot properly and make sure everything was sealed and working the way it should. While he was there, he also noticed a gas line that was not capped correctly and took care of that too, which gave me extra peace of mind. He was on time, courteous, efficient, and very professional throughout the whole service call. I feel much better knowing I now have a reliable plumber to call for any urgent repair or water line issue around the house.
Great plumbing service for our kitchen sink backup. I first called another repair company, but their plumber could not come out until the next week, so I contacted a local plumbing service instead. They offered fast scheduling, and I chose next day service. The plumber arrived within the promised time window and called ahead before showing up, which was very helpful. William gave us a clear estimate with a fair price, and once we approved it, he started the drain and pipe work right away. He was very friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. He explained that the clog was deep in the stack pipe and described what was causing the slow drain in simple terms. It was clear they had the right plumbing equipment to reach the blockage, even though it was more than 40 feet from the sink line. He worked efficiently, cleared the backup, treated the drain with enzymes, and explained how to handle follow-up treatments to help keep the line flowing well. He also cleaned up the work area when the job was done, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a smooth and positive experience, and I would gladly use this plumbing company again for any future drain cleaning or plumbing repairs in Boston. Highly recommend their plumbing services.
outstanding service and attention to detail. from the customer service rep to clayton the plumber who came out, everyone did a great job. my parents needed their old gas water heater replaced, and the team handled everything quickly and professionally. the new water heater looks great, even though i can't get a picture right now since the garage is a bit crowded. this company is honest and doesn't overcharge, and the quality of their plumbing work is top notch. they really care about their customers and deliver excellent service for a fair price. best plumbers around!
