My heating-system’s boiler started making noise when the system was turned on after summer shut down. I narrowed it down to a chattering gas valve. I initially contacted several local HVAC service providers that were recommended on a list (not Angie's List) for my area. One never responded to my inquiry and another didn't show up at the appointed time without notifying me. I then contacted Gearhead Plumbing & Heating via Angie's List. Matthew responded immediately when contacted. I explained the situation and he agreed. After I agreed to the quote, he ordered a replacement valve and scheduled the installation. Matthew showed up on time. He was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. After installation he gave me several pointers on system operation & functions and what to do if certain problems occurred. The bill was as quoted.
The reason I have Matt 4.5 stars and not 5 was the problem did not need repairing .He took the time to check out the leak and other plumbing issues while he was there(about 1 1/2 hrs.)And disclosed to me the issue was nothing severe and did not need replacing or repairing He could have taken me for a ride and he did not.Very honest I will call him back for any other issues and let you know how his work is.He seems very thorough and consciousness.
