Genesis Construction & Development

Genesis Construction & Development is a Middleton, Massachusetts design-build general contractor founded in 2020 as the residential arm of a longer-running commercial contracting family business, led by principals Joe Fodera, Guy Manganiello and Lou Schena. It builds custom homes, additions and large-scale renovations across the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Route 128 corridor. The written record is short but consistently positive. Three 2025 Google reviews describe the owners as helpful, knowledgeable and professional, with one client saying the company "genuinely cared about my project even after they completed the construction" and calling it the kind of home builder that values long-term relationships. In a 2023 Houzz review, a client who built a custom home with very specific requirements says the team was professional and knowledgeable and walked them through each step of the process. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active with the state. The Better Business Bureau lists it with an A+ rating, though it is not a BBB-accredited business. The company also states that one of its principals holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License, though it does not publish the number for independent verification. Genesis is a fit for a homeowner planning a custom build or a larger addition on the North Shore who wants a design-build team involved start to finish — with only four reviews on file since its 2020 founding, it's worth asking for recent references on a project of similar scope.
