⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for the cheapest flooring company, Genuine Floors probably isn’t going to be your choice — and after working with Dave and Charlie, I’d argue that’s exactly the point. I researched a LOT of flooring companies before making this decision. Genuine Floors was one of the most expensive options I considered, and I still chose them. Now that the project is finished, I’d make the same decision again without hesitation. You truly get what you pay for, and refinishing hardwood floors is one area where I learned you really don’t want to cheap out. You’re trusting someone with something you’re going to look at and live on every single day. What separated Dave and Charlie wasn’t just the finished product — which came out incredible — it was how they approached the entire job. The attention to detail was exceptional, but more importantly, they cared about us and our experience just as much as they cared about getting the floors perfect. There was never any pressure or feeling that they were trying to “win the sale.” Quite honestly, they don’t need to. They’re slammed with work, and after experiencing the quality of their craftsmanship and service firsthand, I understand why. They communicated, answered every question, paid attention to the smallest details, and went above and beyond what I expected from a flooring company. Could I have saved money going somewhere else? Absolutely. Would I have gotten this level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and confidence in the finished product? After all the research I did, I seriously doubt it. So if price is the only deciding factor, there are cheaper companies out there. But if you’re like me and would rather pay once, have it done right, and know the people working on your home genuinely care about the outcome — give Dave and Charlie at Genuine Floors a call. My wife and I hired Dave and Charlie of Genuine Wood Floors to restore our hardwood floors. The floors they refinished were quarter sawn white oak that had previously been only oiled and not maintained, and areas that were exposed to daylight had bleached out to a grayish color. Dave and Charlie stopped by and spent over 2 hours with us reviewing our floors, measuring, understanding what was important to us in having the job done. They also clearly defined their process and how long it would take and even provided us some mover references as we had to clear out 2 floors of furniture for this project. They sent us a very detailed 7 page scope of work with pricing that clearly outlined what they would do and the timelines for the job. No other contractor that I spoke to did this nor did any other contractor spend nearly as much time with us on their initial visit. Genuine Wood floors arrived on the day they said they would and finished 1 day early. They treated out house as if it were there own, protecting everything to avoid any type of dust intrusion, although they had excellent dust free sanding equipment. The used LOBA products, which I found out were really high end and made to last. Words can't describe the transformation of our floors, simply amazing how beautiful they came out. Dave and Charlie are the epitome of what a great customer experience is. Beyond that, they are super friendly guys with incredible work ethics and attention to detail. We’ve worked with Charlie and Dave for years. They’ve installed wide plank pine for us and went above and beyond to match the wood, finish, and style of the rest of the house. They’ve since refinished our stairs and done touch up work. They are both class acts who take a lot of pride in their work.

Charlie and David did a great job in taking care of our hardwood kitchen floor, a portion of which had been damaged by a leaky dishwasher. Looks as good as new! They were professional and courteous, and did a great job of communicating, as we were away when they did the work.
