In a December 2021 Google review, a customer called just after noon on the Thursday before Christmas Eve with a pump that had died after 30 years; the service tech, then in Bridgton, arrived two hours later and finished around 5 under the truck lights with a new pump and water. That customer said Goodwin Well & Water had drilled the well for their father over 70 years earlier. The Turner, Maine company's website says it has served Maine homeowners, businesses and municipalities for more than 65 years, and elsewhere states 78 years in business. In February 2026 a couple whose dug well went dry a week after they moved into their first home wrote that Sheri managed the job, the drillers hit 20+ gpm at 200 feet, and the final cost came very close to the estimate. In a November 2025 review, a customer said Goodwin tied their old and new wells together with a switch in the pantry, and they could now do laundry at home. A July 2026 customer in Farmington got a new pump after other local companies would not come out. In a December 2025 review, a customer said the company had served their house since 2007, adding to an undersized pressure tank and later installing a water softener, a sediment filter, an emergency well pump, and a larger pressure tank with its plumbing manifold. In April 2024 a customer wrote that Keith's team was on site the same day and assessed the problems, pulled the six-year-old pump and found faulty parts; once the parts were replaced, the gauge went from 5 psi to 50 psi. A September 2025 reviewer said their grandfather got the pump model he wanted, installed, for almost $1,000 less than another local quote. In April 2022 a customer on a high-iron ridge wrote of repeated service calls, a pump and piping redone from a second well, and then being told the company no longer services their system. A July 2023 reviewer said the service department never called back after two calls. In May 2024 a customer praised Ralph, wrote that their own paperwork error, sent to a.con instead of a.com, set their project back two months, and wished the company had a welcome package detailing what would be needed at the onset. A 2022 Reddit commenter wrote that Goodwin drilled their well and it yields 0.4 gpm.
“Goodwin drilled our well and we have 0.4 gpm.”
Awesome job done!!
We needed someone to inspect our well plus change our pump. We contacted more local companies and couldn’t get anyone to come out and look at it. We called Goodwin hoping they traveled to Farmington and they agreed to come up! Kind, courteous, professional. We got a new pump. Our water pressure is better and we have peace of mind. 100% would recommend.
Fantastic company! Professional, courteous, responsive, and reliable. I worked with Keith and Nick to resolve an issue with silt in my water and they were fabulous. Don't bother to look anywhere else for well services.
Me and my wife had bought our first home and moved in end of July. About a week after moving in we found out our dug well was not going to cut it. It went dry and we had no water for over a month. After researching drill wells and requesting quotes, Goodwin Well & Water stood out for their level of detail and explanation of the quote. Sheri was our project manager and was extremely helpful and communicative during the whole process. They made an effort to get us our well as soon as they could despite high demand with the drought. The drilling went well and by the end of the process the only issue was that we had too much water, which was a welcome problem to have. At 200 feet we hit 20+/gpm. And the overall cost was very close to the estimate from the beginning and invoice was detailed. Overall, we highly recommend Goodwin Well & Water. They were great to work with and we are very happy to have water and to have found them.
I've been relying on Goodwin Well & Water since 2007. They had added to the undersized pressure tank that came with the house and in the intervening years have installed a water softener system, sediment filter, new well pump (that was an emergency) and most recently a preventative maintenence replacement of a new, larger pressure tank and associated plumbing manifold. I'm not the type to wait for mechanical things to age out and break down in the dead of night or on a holiday weekend, and then have to settle for whatever happens to be in stock. Rather, I like to research my choices along with Goodwin's input and then schedule them to my house when they've received the parts, and in a more organized manner. Keith was quite tolerant and always responded to my 20 questions during research and I am very happy with the tank and installation results. There is some redundancy in many systems in your home and some things that you can temporarily live without. For me, clean, running well water is not one of them. Goodwin has good knowlegeable people and has been a solid choice at my home for the past 18 years. There is no reason for me to look elsewhere.
