Gulliver Contracting

Gulliver Contracting is a Westford, Massachusetts general contractor and remodeling company that says it serves communities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Southern Maine — its stated service area runs from Amesbury and Andover down to Cape Cod and up into Kittery and Kennebunk, Maine. The company describes itself as locally-owned. The Better Business Bureau gives the business an A+ rating and lists it as an accredited Massachusetts contractor offering home improvement and remodeling work, including kitchen and bathroom remodeling, home additions, custom decks, roofing, and architecture and interior design services. BuildZoom shows 80 permitted projects tied to the business, presented there as John Gulliver Construction, founded in 1997. The company's website describes it as fully licensed and highlights 203(k) renovation-loan and lead-safe renovator certifications. BuildZoom lists Massachusetts construction-supervisor and home-improvement license numbers for the business. The company's history reads a little differently across sources: BBB credits it with 32 years in business, while the company's own site traces its roots to a predecessor, Gulliver Electric Contractors Inc., which it says opened in 1996. A reasonable call for a home-improvement or remodeling project in its Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or southern Maine service area; confirm the current license numbers directly with the state and ask to see recent project references before signing a contract.
