Federal fraud pleas and sentences involving Ronaldo and Adriana Solano are a substantial part of H&R Roofing's history. In its July 28, 2025 announcement, the U.S. Department of Justice reported that Ronaldo had operated a Framingham roofing and construction business with Adriana under the names H&R Roofing & Construction Inc. and H&R Roofing & Siding Corp. DOJ said the business avoided more than $627,000 in workers' compensation insurance premiums between about 2012 and 2020 by underreporting payroll and paying workers through an uninsured third company. DOJ reported that Ronaldo pleaded guilty in January 2025 to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire and bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. Adriana pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and bank fraud. Ronaldo was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, followed by two years of supervised release, with the first six months on home detention. Adriana was sentenced on June 23, 2025 to time served, one day, followed by 27 months of supervised release, with the first three months on home detention. DOJ reported that they were ordered to pay $1,625,872.03 jointly in restitution, with Ronaldo ordered to pay an additional $627,675.88. The March 2024 indictment preceded these guilty pleas and sentences. H&R's website says it offers residential, commercial and solar roofing installation and repair in Framingham. It says Ronaldo founded the business in 2006 to serve homeowners and businesses in MetroWest, and identifies Ronaldo as co-owner and project manager and Adriana as co-owner and office director. The company advertises free estimates and describes itself as a GAF Master Elite Roofing Contractor. An August 2026 comment in r/FraminghamMA named H&R Roofing and directed the reader to ask for Dan Cummings.
