Handyman Pro is a Franklin, Massachusetts handyman and carpentry outfit run by Tony Catalli, whose profile states 46 years of experience and lists licenses as a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor, a Construction Supervisor, and a Certified Lead Carpenter, alongside a De-leading Contractor registration. Homeowners who hired the business between 2014 and 2021 consistently describe quick responses to calls and emails and crews that showed up on time. In a 2015 review, a customer whose gutters and fascia had been torn down by ice dams said other contractors wouldn't take the small job but Handyman Pro did, and brought them back for a larger window-replacement project afterward. Several other reviewers from that period said they had rehired the business or planned to. The written record also includes real complaints worth asking about. A 2015 review described a billing dispute after an emergency deck repair — the invoice came in 7.5% over the verbal quote, and nails were left on the deck afterward. A 2019 review said an open-ended hourly-rate clause for extra work pushed a window job's final cost about 60% above the original estimate. And in a 2021 review, a customer said the crew installed plain hooks instead of the wall anchors requested for hanging heavy mirrors, which the customer considered a safety risk. Anyone considering Handyman Pro for carpentry or general handyman work should get a written estimate that spells out how additional work is billed, and confirm cleanup and hardware specifics like anchors versus hooks before the crew leaves.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Handyman Pro. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.

Typical handyman visit around $540
The two handymen were pleasant and easy to deal with and completed the following tasks successfully: installing curtain rods and brackets in the master bedroom and assembling a medium-sized wooden desk. However - prior to the visit, I specifically requested that they hang two very large mirrors using anchors. I was not aware of what anchors looked like when they installed hooks instead of anchors. After they left, I learned that the hooks that they installed would have led the mirrors to fall off the walls and they had NOT install anchors. The office manager was not accommodating except to reduce the fee by $15. After several back and forth and a conversation with the owner, I agreed to pay the $300 minimum, but it would have made a big difference in my experience, if the office manager had been more flexible on the fees, given that the work performed was sub-standard and even dangerous (if the mirrors had fallen on someone). I would NOT hire them again.
He had a great solution for fixing my fence my dog cannot get out anymore I finally feel secure with putting my dogs in the backyard
Arrived on time. Very friendly and detailed focused, made sure everything was done exactly how we liked it. Also pushed back on things which didn't make sense to prevent future damage. Only negative would be is that maybe they took a little too long on some tasks, meaning that we were charge more hours than maybe should have been. It was worth it for the quality though. Highly recommended!
Response to my email request for an estimate was immediate. Work began when expected. Labor was quiet (no yelling across distances, no loud radio) and polite. Jobs appear to be very well done and site was immaculate when completed. Contract includes statement that if additional work is necessary, customer will pay at an hourly rate. This open-ended agreement resulted about 60% increase in the cost of the windows on the final invoice. I recommend this business; however, I plan to get more estimates from other businesses for window repair/replacement.
We're very happy how this went. Good communication, perfectly on time, did a good and clean job. Will repeat.
