Harding Builders is a design/build remodeling company out of Rochester, run out of 297 Neck Road, with kitchen and bathroom renovations, home additions, and in-law apartments as its declared focus across Fairhaven, Marion, Mattapoisett, Rochester, and Wareham. The company describes itself as family-owned, and its owner, Tim Harding, comes up by name in both written reviews on file. Those two accounts, both from the summer of 2017, tell a consistent story. One homeowner described a basement remodel that came in on time and on budget, with the crew offering "great ideas" for improving the space. Another, working through a full remodeling project, credited Tim Harding directly with design suggestions that both improved the result and saved money, and described a crew that showed up on time, kept disruption to a minimum, cleaned up daily, finished ahead of schedule, and still accommodated mid-project changes. There's real breadth behind that: BuildZoom's permit records show 27 completed projects tied to Timothy Harding, and its own scoring puts him in the top 10% of Massachusetts contractors it tracks. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, verified against the state registry. BuildZoom also lists an earlier, now-inactive license number for the same registrant, which reads as an older registration since replaced rather than any lapse in current standing. What's worth knowing before calling: the written reviews on file are both nearly a decade old, from 2017, with nothing more recent posted since on the platforms tracked here. Houzz shows the company's own profile with a long services list and two showcased projects, but no customer reviews at all yet. For a South Coast homeowner planning a kitchen, bath, or addition project who wants a design/build firm with an active license and permit history behind it, Harding Builders' 2017 reviews describe an attentive, budget-conscious process — worth asking directly about more recent work, since the written record hasn't been refreshed in years.
We had a terrific experience with Tim and his team on our basement remodel during the Spring of 2017. They delivered on time and on budget. They had great ideas on ways to improve the space and always delivered creative solutions to problems. We couldn't be happier with the result. We would hire Harding Builders again without any hesitation.
Highly recommended. Harding Builders worked with us to design our remodeling project. The owner, Tim Harding, had several very good suggestions to make the remodel better and in some cases saved money for us. The crew was professional, polite, and on time each day. The disruption to our home was kept to a minimum and they cleaned up each day. They remodel was completed ahead of schedule and they accommodated several changes and special touches that we requested along the way. I highly recommend Harding Builders and would definitely hire them again.
