Harris Electrical is a Boston, Massachusetts electrical contractor that's been in business since 2014, offering residential and commercial electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs. The company holds an active Massachusetts electrician license (#16390, expiring in 2028). On HomeAdvisor, where it carries an 'Approved' badge, Harris Electrical has a perfect 5.0-star rating across all 16 published reviews, spanning 2018 through 2024. Reviewers consistently name an electrician called Charlie and describe specific jobs: replacing knob-and-tube wiring during a panel upgrade, installing lighting fixtures and recessed LED lights with dimmers, and adding or repairing outdoor outlets. A recurring theme across these accounts is prompt scheduling — several reviewers mention being fit in quickly, including one squeezed in on a Sunday morning — along with careful, clean work and fair, reasonable pricing. Most of these written reviews date from 2018 to 2020, with just two more recent accounts from 2022 and 2024; the platform's 5.0-star aggregate reflects the full 16-review history, so the volume and consistency of praise carries weight even though detailed firsthand write-ups have thinned out in the past several years. No complaints, negative reviews, or licensing issues turned up anywhere in the record. Harris Electrical looks like a solid choice for smaller residential electrical jobs — wiring updates, fixture and outlet installs, panel work — from a licensed, well-reviewed operation; given how dated most of the detailed reviews are, it's worth asking about current availability and recent project examples before booking.

Fast friendly service
Charlie was recommended by another appliance repair specialist who recognized the issue as an electrical one. He fit us in last minute on a Sunday morning; was neat and thorough, diagnosed and fixed the issue; provided recommendations for future improvements to make things more efficient (not ina salesy way); and couldn't have been friendlier. Highly recommend.
Charlie did an excellent job installing 3 lighting fixtures in my new home. He was able to fit me in quite quickly and is a pleasure to work with. Will definitely hire him again.
Charlie was great! He was very neat and hauled everything away for me. I would definitely use him again.
