During a January 2026 snowstorm, a Hartnett Plumbing customer said the plumber was on the way about an hour after the call. The driveway was still unplowed when the worker came through the snow with his tools. According to that customer, he quickly found a leak hidden behind a wall and repaired it while remaining friendly and cheerful. Hartnett describes itself as a local family-owned plumbing business established in 1986, with an office in Colrain and service across Franklin County and surrounding Western Massachusetts. Its website says the team includes five Masters and five Apprentices. Massachusetts lists Kyle Hartnett's master plumber licence as active. The BBB describes residential and commercial plumbing services and gives the business an A+ grade. The work customers describe extends beyond leaks. In January 2026, one customer reported plumbing work at several properties involving a clothes washer, dishwasher, sinks and toilets, along with water-heater replacement, installation of a new Buderus boiler and replacement of a well-water filtration system. That customer praised the timely response, described the price as competitive and said the personnel were knowledgeable. A December 2025 customer with frozen pipes said Hartnett came the same day and helped with a complicated pipe situation as best they could. The customer also praised the communication. In a June 2025 account, a leaking whole-house filter housing left another customer needing to turn off the water. Laura in the office and Tristan in the field got in touch, and the customer said help arrived within two hours. That account names Brandon and Tristan, praises their assistance, and says they coached the customer through a maintenance task and how to avoid the filter problem in future. Google lists a 4.9-star average from 21 ratings. A June 2026 reviewer describes the people as down to earth and credits them with addressing plumbing problems.

They are good down to earth people who are driven to flush you plumbing issues down the drain.
sThis company and the plumber that came today are the greatest. We were in the midst of the biggest snowstorm in years but that didn't stop you guys. You were on your way about an hour after my call. My driveway wasn't plowed, but the plumber didn't mind. No bad vibes from him. He just trudged the snow with his tools, found the leak quickly (it was hidden behind a wall) and fixed it, all the while being friendly and cheerful. I can't thank you and the plumber enough. I would use your services again in a minute. You are the best.
Had work done on several properties. Installation of plumbing for install of Clothes washer, dishwasher, sinks, toilets, water heater replacement, installation of new Buderus Boiler and replaced filtration system for well water. Excellent work with a very timely response. Price was very competitive and personnel were very knowledgeable and professional.
They were a lifesaver. My pipes were frozen they came the same day. Helped to resolve the situation as best as they could, my pipe situation is very complicated. Communication was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them. Thank you!!!!
So happy with Hartnett. Plumbing and Heating Yesterday, we had an issue changing the whole house water filter which necessitated turning off the water. as the housing was leaking but wasn't safely removable. I called and left a message and both Laura in the office and Tristan in the field got in touch and they were here within 2 hours. Brandon and Tristan could not have been more kind, competent and genuinely interested in helping us. We discussed another project and will be getting an estimate. And they coached me on how to do a maintenance task myself and how to avoid the situation with the water filter going forward. Highly recommend! PS we have used them for several projects large, small and emergency, all with great results. Wonderful to have plumbers one can count on at any time!
