Heatech

Heatech is an HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Melrose, run under the names Marc G Russell and Michael J. Fitzemeyer, with 77 permitted projects on BuildZoom — mostly HVAC and mechanical work in the $8,500 range. Its recent permits are mini-split, heat-pump and high-velocity cooling installs in Brookline, Malden, Belmont and Danvers, and BuildZoom carries the company at a 99 score with its Construction Supervisor licence (CS-118665) and Sheet Metal licence (#1675) both marked verified active as of mid-2026. Several other licence numbers tied to the company tell a different story. BuildZoom lists a Home Improvement Contractor licence, a Pipefitter Master licence, an Electrician licence and a Construction Supervisor Specialty licence as inactive and at one point cancelled by the state. Three more — including two plumbing licences — are flagged 'Not Verified,' with expiration dates that have already passed (May 2026, May 2024 and May 2016). Given how mixed the licence picture is across the different trades this company has touched, confirm directly with the state which licence currently covers the specific work being hired before booking.
