HG Construction Company Inc is a Lexington-based general contractor that Houzz and BuildZoom both tie to home remodeling, additions, new construction and garage building work across Middlesex County towns. Houzz shows two completed projects and BuildZoom's permit-tracking service shows 37 permitted jobs tied to the company, but there is little to go on in written reviews: the only one on file is a one-star "awful" comment from 2012, and the company's own reply says it does not recognize the reviewer. Worth asking about before booking: BuildZoom lists several Massachusetts home improvement contractor registrations tied to the company as inactive, alongside an inactive EPA renovation certification, and reports no active license on file for the company. With a permit history spanning additions, remodels and new construction but no verified license or recent reviews to lean on, confirm current registration and insurance directly with the company before signing anything.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from HG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
