High Ground Painting is a one-owner shop in Belmont built around David, who the company says stays the single point of contact from the first estimate through the final walkthrough. Its own site describes the work as interior and exterior painting alongside carpentry and repair, with a reach into nearby towns like Newton, Brookline, Waltham, Lexington, Watertown, and Arlington, and lists a Sherwin-Williams Pro affiliation and a Massachusetts HIC registration (#217621) that hasn't been independently verified against the state registry. The handful of Google reviews on file paint a consistent picture: careful, communicative work. A July 2026 review described David and his crew reviving a rotted front porch vestibule — scraping old paint, caulking, patching wood rot, and repainting — then washing the vestibule windows before they left. Earlier reviews (one from February 2026, another from 2025) point to the same pattern outside strict painting jobs too: one customer had David rebuild a collapsing bunny hutch using the existing pieces, and another credited him with useful suggestions across both a landscaping and a painting project. Before booking, it's worth knowing the public record here is still thin — just three dated Google reviews spanning 2025 into 2026 — so there isn't yet a long history to lean on. For a smaller painting or repair job in the Belmont area, though, the reviews on file describe someone attentive to detail and easy to deal with directly.

David and team revitalized our front porch vestibule. Scraped old paint, caulked, repaired spots of wood rot, and painted. Communication about work was easy, they were pleasant to have around, they did an excellent job cleaning up (including washing the vestibule windows). Best paint job ever.
David was absolutely amazing! I had bought a bunny house, but because of a divider in the base, there wasn’t enough space and the entire structure kept collapsing. He completely remodeled it using the existing pieces, reinforced the base, and customized it into my dream bunny house. It’s now sturdy, spacious, and exactly what I envisioned. My bunnies love it so much! I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!
Very insightful and helpful young guy. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and gave me great suggestions for both of my landscaping and painting projects. Professional and hardworking, the job came out even better than I imagined. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for quality work with a personal touch.
