Historical Slate Roofing Co

Historical Slate Roofing Co. is a Somerville, Massachusetts roofer built around a narrower specialty than most: slate and copper roofing, copper flashing, and the chimney and gutter work that goes with an older roof. Kevin M Williams II runs it as a two-person partnership, in business since October 2012. The Better Business Bureau has accredited the company since 2014 and currently grades it A+. Its profile there shows 15 project photos, and BuildZoom shows another 17, both consistent with the slate, copper and chimney work the company describes doing. BuildZoom states it verified an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor license, #180226, as of March 2026. For a slate or copper roof, or the chimney and flashing work that comes with one, this is a shop built specifically for that rather than general asphalt shingle jobs — worth calling before a generalist roofer for that kind of project.
