Credentials on paper, no customers on the page. Hogan Home Remodeling works out of Conoyle Street in Lowell and bills itself as a kitchen-and-bath shop — Houzz files it under Kitchen & Bath Remodelers, and its own service list runs to kitchen design, bathroom updates with heated floor tile, tile, glass and additions. The unusual part is the energy side. The company says it is a BPI Certified Building Analyst and EPA RRP certified, and on Angi it describes eight years on the Lowell Conservation Commission plus earlier work as a housing rehabilitation technician on historic housing. Remodeling, energy auditing and lead-safe certification in one shop is a genuine fit for Lowell's older housing stock, where pre-1978 paint rules apply to most jobs. What is missing is anyone who hired them. Houzz shows two projects and invites the first review; Angi says the pro is new to both Angi and HomeAdvisor. Neither page carries a single rating. The credentials are also all unnumbered. Houzz lists a 'Construction License & Remodeling License: Comm. of Mass'; Angi lists 'Lic. Remodeler', 'Lic. Builder' and EPA RRP certification. Not one prints a registration number, so nothing here could be checked against the state. Ask for the home improvement contractor number and the construction supervisor number directly and look them up at Mass.gov before signing anything. If lead paint is in play, ask for the EPA RRP firm certification number too — that one is checkable through the EPA. The 33 years of experience Angi shows is the company's own claim, and no source here dates the business. This is a call for a homeowner around Lowell, Chelmsford, Westford, Acton, Carlisle or Concord who wants a kitchen or bath done by someone who also understands where the heat is leaking — provided you are willing to do the licence checking yourself and to ask for addresses of recent jobs, because no previous customer has said anything publicly.
