Home and Garden Construction is a Framingham general contractor run by owner Jihad Haddad — known to clients as JJ — handling home renovations, additions and new construction across MetroWest and greater Boston, with in-house masonry, carpentry, siding and painting crews. The company says it has been around since 2003, though BBB's own file puts its start in 2010. The written record is dated but consistent. In a 2018 BuildZoom review, a customer described JJ fixing a wall, pulling old tile, and replacing a vanity top and recessed shelving in a bathroom, and said they were pleased enough to hire him again. Two years earlier, in 2016, another customer credited the company with walking them through an insurance claim after hail damage and replacing the roof four days ahead of the insurer's own timeline, calling the work exceptional. A 2020 Reddit poster in r/FraminghamMA said JJ handled a full kitchen remodel for them and their neighbor, and that they no longer bid out projects — they just call him. Not every account is glowing: a separate 2018 review complained that a quote request took too long to get a response. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (162007) is active, and BBB gives the business an A+ rating, though it isn't a BBB-accredited company. For a renovation in the MetroWest area, JJ's crew has a track record of finishing what they say they will — just build in some lead time when requesting a quote, since responsiveness at that stage has been a sore point before.

JJ fixed a wall, removed tilework, replaced the vanity top and sink and replaced recessed shelving in our bathroom. It all looks great, he communicated well, came when he said he would, and completed the work as scheduled. We are very pleased, and hired him to do some more work on our house. We feel lucky to have found him!

Last year my roof was pelted with hail. I wasn’t aware of the damage until Home and Garden Construction alerted me to it. They walked me through the process of dealing with the insurance company and then replaced the roof. Their work is exceptional. They came in four days under what the insurance company predicted the construction time should be. They were fast and efficient and left the surroundings in better condition than when they started.
Highly recommended - I was able to allow him access to my home while I was abroad, very happy with his work!
