HomeCore is a one-trade shop: spray foam, into attics, crawlspaces, basements and retrofits on houses that are already finished. It works out of Brighton across a long list of eastern Massachusetts towns, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #187898, is active on the state registry under HomeCore LLC. The site says it has been doing this in Brighton since 2014 and claims over 12 years of experience. The BBB profile fills in the shape of the company: an LLC incorporated 7/11/2014, four employees, a manager named Brandon Maranian, a second location in Ashland, and an A+ grade on a listing that is not accredited. Angi and HomeAdvisor both show it also trading as Apex Insulation. The written accounts are older — a 5.0 average from six Angi reviews dated August 2018 to March 2020, with job values of $1,820 and $4,950 attached to two of them. Brandon is named in several: thorough on the estimate, reachable during the job, and following up once the work was done. In a November 2018 review a homeowner had an estimate within 24 hours, the spray foam booked within two weeks, and the crew finishing ahead of schedule on the day. A January 2019 customer insulating a basement described a quote answered promptly, an installer who arrived when he said he would, installation a week later, and workers who cleaned up after themselves — that reviewer had already passed the name to neighbours. Two August 2018 reviews describe the finished work rather than the booking: foam applied uniformly with every gap filled, and so little mess afterwards that one homeowner said you could hardly tell they had been there. One of those customers came to the company on a friend's recommendation and had ceiling insulation put in. Those accounts stop in March 2020, so ask for a couple of recent nearby jobs you can look at before you commit. Its Angi listing says it takes government and prevailing-wage work alongside residential and commercial jobs, and the four projects it posts on Houzz — crawlspace foam in Cambridge, injection foam in Belmont, spray foam in West Newton and Concord — are the closest thing to a current sample. For a Greater Boston homeowner insulating an attic, a crawlspace or a basement, or retrofitting foam into an older house, this is a contractor that does that one thing and holds the state registration for it. Get a written scope that says which foam goes where, and confirm which of the two listed phone numbers reaches the office.
