Ideal Home Improvement is a small, owner-operated kitchen cabinet refacing business in Dracut, Massachusetts, run personally by Alex, who states he takes every project himself without subcontractors. The company describes real wood cabinet refacing, cabinet re-doors and custom cabinetmaking across Greater Lowell and southern New Hampshire, and says it has been transforming kitchens since 1999. Homeowners who hired the company describe 20- to 40-year-old kitchens brought back to new without the cost or disruption of a full remodel. Refacing is the work people come for: reviewers describe scratched and stained doors replaced, soft-close hardware and drawer slides fitted, and cabinets raised to the ceiling for extra storage. In a January 2026 review, a homeowner had every kitchen and bathroom cabinet door replaced and called the pricing fair and competitive against local quotes. Several reviewers describe work beyond straightforward refacing — a custom coffee bar and double crown moulding, four new dovetailed base cabinets built to save birch originals, and a cabinet and microwave shelf built to blend into the run. Punctuality is the other recurring note: homeowners say Alex arrived to quote when he said he would, started when he said he would, and finished on the day promised. The company holds Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #120477, active in the state registry under Alexander M Vitorino — the same number printed on its own website. It has been a BBB accredited business since August 2006 and carries an A+ grade. Ratings run 5.0 stars from 97 Google ratings, 5.0 from 33 on HomeAdvisor, 5.0 from 33 on Angi and 5.0 from 6 on Houzz, with eleven reviews in the last six months and none negative. Written accounts run back to 2009; the older ones are dated, and the recent ones describe the same refacing work. Ideal Home Improvement is the right call for a homeowner who wants an existing kitchen refaced or rebuilt in place rather than torn out. Because one person does the work, ask about his schedule and the lead time on door and hardware orders before committing to a date.
Best in the business when it comes to kitchen cabinet refaceing. We couldn't be happier with the final product and the fact that it was completed on time at a fantastic price was even better.
We hired Alex for a full kitchen remodel, and the experience was excellent. They were clear about the timeline, communicated well throughout the project, kept the workspace surprisingly clean, and the quality of the cabinets, and finish work was outstanding. No issues came up during the remodel, very professional. We are really happy with the final result and would absolutely use them again , definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone . Use him you’ll be glad you did!
Alex did excellent work!
Alex was great, outstanding experience all the way around. We live our new kitchen!
It was a pleasure working with Alex on our kitchen project. We were able to update our cabinets without having to undergo a full remodel. Quick, cost-effective, and professional results
