Custom railings are what customers describe hiring Imperial Iron Work for: stair railings, porch railings and pieces made to their own designs. The Billerica business describes its work as metal fabrication and welding, and says it serves Boston, nearby Massachusetts towns and Nashua. It offers free estimates. Google shows 5 stars from 41 ratings. In a July 2026 review, a customer said Wilhan turned their design ideas into installed railings they were pleased with. Another customer, writing in April 2026, praised custom stair railings and said the company quoted and completed the job within a few days. Older accounts describe the design process and the finished work. In September 2025, a customer said Imperial replaced wood railings in their living room. Wilhan Borges helped them compare designs; they reported a quote below another they had received and professional work completed in a reasonable time. An August 2024 reviewer praised horizontal railings installed for a new porch, described the crew as attentive to details and said the railings were holding up well a few months after installation. The shop has also taken on small metal-cutting work. A November 2025 reviewer needed four file rails cut, called ahead and said they were able to get the work done right away.
I just had my railings installed and they are absolutely beautiful! Wilhan took my design ideas and created the perfect pieces. I highly recommend them.
They gave me a quote and did the job in only few days! The quality of stairs railings was custom made and great quality!
I needed a very small job done: the cutting of four file rails and I found this company — near me — via a Google search. I called first and I was able to go and get the job done right away. Everyone I talked to was friendly and professional. If you need any work done with metal, I definitely recommend that you work with this company: no job is too small, and some jobs are complimentary. Thank you kindly.
Imperial team replaced existing wood railings in our living room and did an amazing job. Wilhan Borges worked with us to go over few designs and helped us deciding what will look best in our settings. The quote provided was less than another quote which we got and work was done very professionally in reasonable time.
I’m so happy I found Imperial Iron Works! The horizontal railings for my new porch came out beautiful, excellent workmanship! The crew that installed the railings were kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to details. It’s been a few months since the installation and the railings are holding up well. Thank you!
