Infinity Heating and Cooling installs heat pumps and mini splits and works on boilers and furnaces, and it holds a 4.9-star Google rating across 28 ratings. The company's website says it serves homes in Southern Maine and lists a service area that runs from Portland, Falmouth and Yarmouth down to Saco, Biddeford, Kennebunk and Wells. A recent customer in Old Orchard Beach wrote that when the boiler stopped working, another HVAC company quoted a flat rate of more than double and misdiagnosed the issue. That customer said AJ answered the phone immediately and diagnosed the problem over the phone, and that AJ and Nick arrived early with the exact parts needed. The same customer wrote that they caught deeper issues the first company missed, did a full furnace cleaning, finished in half the quoted time and charged significantly less than the first company quoted. A recent customer said Nick and AJ installed Mitsubishi hyper heat units and saved them close to $14,000, and that the two did a better job than other estimators of giving options and explaining the difference between each one. That customer also gave a shout-out to their electrician, Wyatt Laprise. A recent customer said a heat pump system was handled well from the quote through the installation, including help picking the system and its placement, and after a year of use likes both the AC and heating and the air filtration. A recent customer said AJ and his crew installed mini splits at the beginning of the summer, were fast, and still take the time to answer follow-up questions. A recent 1-star customer, who said they gave the company a lot of work when it was starting out, wrote that their daughter's several messages got one text back and their own four messages got no return call. That customer also said the company does not do any emergency work. A 2022 HomeAdvisor customer called the company reliable, quick and friendly and said the systems looked great.
They used to be great when they first started. They would call you back directly and the service was amazing. Now I can't get a return call. My daughter left several messages and they texted her back once, and I left 4 and never got a return call or message. They don't do any emergency work which I always found strange, but just getting blown off is really disappointing as we gave them a lot of work when they were just getting started.
AJ and his crew installed mini splits for us at the beginning of the summer. They were so fast, very easy to communicate with, and to this day always take the time to address my follow up questions. Scheduling was a breeze. Super professional and kind.
Highly recommend - everything was so well handled from the quote process through the installation of our heat pump system, including helping us pick the best system and placement for our needs, with great attention to detail both in the information provided to us and in handling the installation. We have had the system for a year now and love both the AC and heating components, and that the system also provides air filtration.
Highly recommend! If you need furnace repair and cleaning in Old Orchard Beach, Maine skip the stress and call Infinity Heating and Cooling. My neighbor (a plumber at an HVAC company) told me AJ was the best and he was not wrong. 10/10 Excellent communication, total transparency, punctuality, rare expert-level service, excellent value and price. When my boiler stopped working I spent hours scrolling through reviews and calling around trying to find a real Viessmann pro who would come fix my hot water and heat in OOB. At first I tried another local HVAC company who gave me a “flat rate” for more than double and completely misdiagnosed the issue so I asked my neighbor, (a plumber who works for an HVAC company) who he would call and he didn’t hesitate. He gave me AJ’s contact and I am SO glad I asked. When I called AJ answered the phone immediately. Unlike the other companies I talked to, he asked targeted technical questions that proved he knew my system inside and out. He actually diagnosed the problem right over the phone and told me exactly what to expect with their transparent pricing. They do not upcharge on parts (unlike the flat rate company), which is a massive win for the customer. AJ and Nick (co-owners) arrived early and actually came prepared with the exact parts needed to save time. Their specialized Viessmann training was obvious. They caught deeper issues the first company completely missed and handled the complex repair flawlessly and did a full furnace cleaning while they were in there. They left the work area so clean you’d never know they were there, finished in half the quoted time, and charged significantly less than the first company quoted. I wish I had known about Infinity before. If you need work on a boiler, furnace, or heat pump in Southern Maine, stop scrolling reviews and call AJ and Ryan. Trust me when you talk to them you will get it. They have officially earned my business for all future heating and cooling needs.
Nick and AJ installed top of the line Mitsubishi hyper heat units in my home and saved me close to $14,000. It was great working with great, young Mitsubishi Diamond Installers. I received several estimates, and theses two fellows did a better job of giving me options and explaining the difference between each option. Their electrician Wyatt Laprise, also deserves a shout out. Could not be happier with the team they have put together.
