Insight Construction, Inc.

Insight Construction, Inc. is a Boston-area residential remodeling company based out of Roslindale, offering kitchens, bathrooms, additions, decks, roofing, siding and whole-home renovation work; the company's site claims more than 20 years in business. Erica Torres, who runs the company, holds an active Massachusetts construction supervisor license (CS-115212), and the company itself holds an active Home Improvement Contractor license (#194411), both verified on the state registry. The written record is thin — three reviews, all from 2019-2020 — and split. A 2019 review describes a full upper-deck removal and rebuild on a triple-decker, praising a fast response from Erica, prompt scheduling, an honest quote, and work described as 'best in class.' A short 2020 review calls the experience very good with quality work. But a separate 2020 review raises a serious concern: it describes the company as 'very sketchy,' downplaying mistakes, failing to follow up, making excuses for a worker, and being unreachable when the customer tried to contact the owner about a problem. For a deck build or general remodeling project in the Boston area, the licensing is current and one detailed account describes strong, responsive work — but the sharply negative 2020 account, describing real accountability and communication problems, is worth asking about directly, with a clear written scope and contact plan set up front given how thin the overall record is.
