Interstate Electrical Services Corporation isn't a one-van electrician — it's a 750-person operation with eight offices across New England, including a regional office in Plymouth, and it says it's been at this since 1966. The company describes itself as the largest privately held electrical services company in the region, built around commercial and institutional work: schools, hospitals, life-science labs, and corporate campuses, rather than a homeowner's kitchen rewire. That scale shows up in what it advertises — design-build electrical construction, an in-house UL-listed prefabrication shop, arc flash hazard analysis, fire alarm and network systems work, and a 24/7 emergency dispatch layered on top of planned commercial construction jobs. On Google it currently sits at 4.2 stars from 26 ratings, a respectable number but not a deep pool for a company this size. The independent reviews turned up from 2021-2022 are thin and mixed rather than uniformly glowing — one credits the crew with solid electrical work, but there's too little recent, specific detail from customers to describe what a typical service call looks like today. Before calling: this is a commercial-facing contractor by its own description, so it's worth confirming upfront whether Interstate takes on residential-scale jobs at all rather than assuming it operates like a neighborhood electrician. For a facility, school, or commercial build in New England, its track record and prefabrication capability are worth asking about directly; for a routine home repair, check first whether they'll take the call.

Glynn has serviced my generator for 4 years. Most recently July. I called last week and they said they could not help me because I did not have a contract. News to me. No notice!! I said how do I start contract process and the gentleman said you can't glynn is not taking new customers. What? Client for 4 years and I am new. I think you business practices are poor at best. Btw no apology was given. Just received comment from office "we are getting a lot of calls like this". Gòod luck. I would never use your company again

Probably decent electricians, but they might hit someone on the way to your house. One of their vans almost hit my car on the highway and was driving erratically. If you’re going to drive like that at least don’t drive in your company van.

Terrible atmosphere everyone in the office quick to throw you under the bus. No room for growth, but plenty of room for failure. Always anticipate the stock to be incorrect and most importantly smile 😃
