A new roof built in under two days, starting on a 5 degree February morning: that is how a 2024 Google reviewer described hiring J&R Contracting Group. The company describes itself on the Better Business Bureau as doing new construction, remodels, siding, roofing, decks, windows, painting and more, and its website says it has been in business 10 years and serves Bangor and Augusta. It holds 4.4 stars from 14 Google ratings. That 2024 customer said J&R was the only outfit to write down exactly what they were looking for on the roof estimate, and that materials showed up the day after the contract was signed. A 2022 customer wrote that after a storm left a large leak in the loft over a four-car garage, J&R's quote came in "just under 7k cheaper" than the others they collected, and it took one week from quote to finished roof. A 2022 customer said the company resided their garage and installed new windows. A 2022 customer who had a detached garage built said it was completed in 2 weeks. A 2023 customer reported a no-call, no-show: the company had called to confirm the appointment two days before, and a message asking whether they needed to reschedule was never returned.
Great customer service and do excellent work without wasting your time. Highly recommend using this business!
Very professional and fast
J&R was the only outfit to write down exactly what we were looking for on the estimate on our roof. Materials showed up the day after I signed the contract and the crew was here the day after that on a 5 degree February morning and built us a new roof in under 2 days. They did a great job with a mess of a roof, in pretty brutal weather. The fact that J&R didn't bury my main concern under time and materials like all the other contractors did, after I asked them not to, is all the reason I need to call these guys in the future. Thanks.
No call. No show. Update... They called to confirm the appointment 2 days before the no call no show day. My wife used personal time at work to be here. I called and left a message to see if they needed to reschedule, but never returned my call. No matter what process they have, it was totally unprofessional. If they don't have time for a job just say so.
Absolutely amazing!
