John Polizzotti has been remodeling houses out of Danvers since 1989, and the customers who write about him reach for the same word: perfectionist. One in August 2017 said he was knowledgeable, cared about the problems in the house and resolved each of them. A December 2012 reviewer led with the word in capitals — very good quality work, a perfectionist — and then said the time estimated to complete the job had been miscalculated. J.P. Remodeling & Construction is a four-person shop working on siding, windows, doors and skylights, decks and porches, kitchens, bathrooms and basements. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+ and records 37 years in business, on a profile that is not BBB-accredited. The jobs reviewers describe are long relationships rather than one-offs. A July 2019 Angi customer listed what JP had done over time: two- and three-story porches torn down and replaced, replacement windows, outside doors and screen doors, a new bathroom, a new closet and miscellaneous work besides — excellent, they said, in every case. In June 2024 a customer had a job done at a fair price, with the crew arriving at the stated time and completing everything as requested. Two things to raise, and both come from 2012. The December reviewer who liked the work said the time estimate was miscalculated. And an October customer who had signed his contract that April said temporary nails were left sticking out of railings in July with a promise to return, and that by 1 October nobody had come back — a complaint the Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles still carry as unresolved. The rating rests on 20 ratings averaging 4.6 on each of Angi and HomeAdvisor, two listings of one set, with five written accounts across fourteen years, the newest from June 2024. For a porch rebuild, siding, windows or a bathroom on the North Shore, this is an owner-run shop whose customers praise the finish. Put the completion date and the punch list in the contract, and write down what happens when the crew has to come back.
“In the last 7 years JP Remodeling (John Polizzotti ) has provided remodeling services for several projects in our house including; a major kitchen renovation together with a new layout of the dining room and family room, remodeling of the bathrooms and a half bath and other smaller projects.”
They did a great job at a fair and reasonable price, arrived at stated time and completed everything exactly as requested. Well done!
We have hired JP Remodeling for several projects: tear down and replace two- and three-story porches; install replacement windows; install outside doors and screen doors; new bathroom; new closet; and other miscellaneous work. In every situation, the work has been excellent from start to finish. JP has kept us up to date on all aspects of each project and he is very customer oriented. We highly recommend him and continue to utilize his services. A great guy doing great work.
J.P. was wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He was very caring about our house issues and resolved each one for us. He is a perfectionist. I would recommend him to anyone who needed work done.
VERY GOOD QUALITY WORK. A PERFECTIONIST. TIME ESTIMATED TO COMPLETE THE JOB MISCALCULATED. WOULD RECOMMEND.
