J.P. Remodeling & Construction has been doing remodeling and general contracting out of Danvers since 1989 — the company's Houzz profile puts it at 37 years in business, and John S. Polizzotti is still listed as the owner and principal contact on the Better Business Bureau's file. The written record leans toward projects rather than quick fixes. Reviewers describe deck and porch rebuilds, window and door replacements, and additions like a new bathroom and closet. In a 2024 Angi review, a customer called out a fair price and a job finished exactly as requested. Further back, a 2019 review described several projects handled over the years — porches torn down and rebuilt, windows and doors swapped out, a new bathroom — and said the communication throughout each one was good. The history has a couple of rough patches worth knowing about. In an October 2012 review, a customer said the contractor left exposed nails on a set of railings mid-project and hadn't returned to finish by the following month; the company's own reply on that page said the nails had since been taken care of. A separate December 2012 review otherwise praised the quality of the work but noted the time estimate for the job ran long. Both Angi and HomeAdvisor put the business at 4.6 out of 5 across 20 ratings, and BBB lists an A+ underlying rating, though the business itself isn't BBB-accredited. Ask about a firm timeline before signing, especially for a multi-trade job like a deck rebuild or bathroom addition — that's where the 2012 reviews suggest things can slip. Otherwise the pattern across two decades of reviews is steady, project-based remodeling and repair work for homeowners around Danvers.
They did a great job at a fair and reasonable price, arrived at stated time and completed everything exactly as requested. Well done!
We have hired JP Remodeling for several projects: tear down and replace two- and three-story porches; install replacement windows; install outside doors and screen doors; new bathroom; new closet; and other miscellaneous work. In every situation, the work has been excellent from start to finish. JP has kept us up to date on all aspects of each project and he is very customer oriented. We highly recommend him and continue to utilize his services. A great guy doing great work.
