J. Perry Plumbing describes itself on HomeAdvisor as a local plumbing contractor with over 21 years in the plumbing and heating trade, serving the South Eastern Massachusetts area. A 2019 customer said he replaced a failing hot water heater the same day, picking up the new heater and taking away the old one, at a reasonable price. A 2019 reviewer said he kept the work area neat and tidy while installing faucets. In 2019, a customer said Jay came when he said he would and completed the work for the agreed price. A 2019 customer had a bad hot water heater replacement: they said the replaced piping was not installed level, sloping 2 inches in two feet, that Jason lied about a pipe that had been bent, and that they had to hire someone else to fix the work. The business holds 4.8 stars from 47 HomeAdvisor ratings and 5 stars from 7 Google ratings.
I have used Joseph G. Perry Plumbing several times in the last 15 or so years. Once, when we returned to Massachusetts from Christmas vacation, we found the pipes frozen. They promptly fixed the problem and offered me good advice on how to prevent it from happening again. Another time, I needed a new water heater. Joseph G. Perry Plumbing installed a high-quality one that has been trouble-free for over a decade. While I enjoy DIY, I am very sensible and honest about my ability to do plumbing or electrical work. I did the work on the bathroom renovations, except I had an electrician in, and Joseph G. Perry Plumbing installed new tubs, sinks, and showers, as well as new toilets in both bathrooms. I can't do plumbing; they can. The latest work I had done was a collection of small tasks: installing a new kitchen faucet, replacing corroded connections to the sink and dishwasher, and ensuring the whole-house water filtration system was in good shape. Their work was always of high quality. Their prices are competitive. I have always been happy with the quality of the job and its cost-effectiveness. In fact, tomorrow I will call to schedule the installation of a new downstairs toilet. Happily, everyone I have ever interacted with at Joseph G. Perry Plumbing has been friendly and helpful. These are good people who do a good job.
Great service. Highly recommend!
Very pleasant experience. Jay is an excellent worker and cost was better than expected. I will recommend him to my friends and acquaintances.
They replaced my hot water heater. The piping they replaced was not installed level. It slopes 2 inches in two feet. They intentionally bent one existing pipe that used to be plumb, straight up and down. Jason lied and said it was like that. Now I have to hire some one else to fix their work. DO NOT hire these guys.
Quick to respond. Clean. Replaced my hot water heater as I requested. No complaints. I would hire them again.
