JB Pride works electrical jobs out of Foxboro, Massachusetts, with generator and HVAC service alongside the wiring work — nerej.com describes it as covering all three. The Better Business Bureau lists the company as self-reporting 15 years in business under owner James Beckwith, covering new construction, repairs, upgrades and security-alarm installs, and grades it A+ even though it isn't a BBB-accredited business. The written record on Houzz is thin and dated: three reviews between 2016 and 2021. In a 2016 review, a homeowner described hiring Jim Beckwith three separate times that year — rebuilding a cluttered electrical panel into a clean, code-compliant box with a top-quality steel enclosure, and running new lighting through a condo renovation — and said the finished panel looked like a work of art, everything organized and labeled. A separate web mention echoes that account, describing James as reliable, trustworthy and meticulous about his work. A 2020 review credited an electrician named Colton with quickly diagnosing and fixing a fuse-box wiring hazard caused by a light switch. The most recent review, from 2021, cuts the other way: a homeowner who scheduled a pool-wiring quote, took a day off work, and pulled the zoning paperwork the company asked for, had the crew miss its two-hour appointment window and get bumped to the next day — the reviewer praised the individual techs but would not recommend the company after that. Houzz also lists two license numbers for the business, 21387-A and 1767-S, that haven't been independently verified against the state registry. For panel rebuilds, generator work or a fast fix to an electrical hazard, the Beckwith name behind the positive reviews is the strongest thread here — but given the one dated complaint about a missed appointment, it's worth confirming a firm arrival window before booking.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from JB PRIDE, INC.. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

“JB Pride, Inc. is a contractor offering electrical service, HVAC service and generator service.”
“JB Pride, Inc. is a top-notch company, and since James was recommended to me, I have never thought of using anyone else. Ever. James is reliable, trustworthy, and meticulous about his work.”
Decided to call and schedule a quote from this company because of all of the positive reviews. The service I wanted done included installing all the necessary wiring in my backyard for a pool. I scheduled my appointment a week in advanced to have my project quoted, and I made sure to provide them with enough information to make the process run quickly and smoothly. My initial experience was great, I was assigned Colton as a Service Expert, and he was a very nice guy, easy to talk to, and very professional. However, I was unfortunately unable to receive a quote that day because the 'boss' requested specs on the pool, the pool-pump, the pool filter, city-specific zoning requirements, a sketch of my back yard with the exact location of the pool and motor. I was not very happy considering that I called multiple times to make sure that they didn't require additional information prior to my appointment, for a quote. Colton was able to fortunately re-assure me that someone would be able to come down the very next day, and I was scheduled for 2PM (with a 2hr window). I spent the whole day prior to that next appointment at City Hall completing paperwork and retrieving zoning material, and at the pool shop retrieving all of the pools' information. I took the next day off from work (once again) for a quote appointment with JB Pride Inc. That next morning I called to confirm, and everything seemed to be all set. I decided to give them a call again around 3:45PM, because they still hadn't arrived and they were cutting it close to the end of my scheduled slot time. After speaking to the secretary, she was told that they were not going to make it, and to schedule me for the following day. I'm extremely thankful for Colton and the other tech that accompanied him (to my initial appointment), they honestly left a very good impression. But I am disappointed with the service that I received from this company overall. There is absolutely no consideration for their customers' time. Would not recommend.
Colton was phenominal-He is prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. He diagnosed my fuse box and alleviated a potential electrical hazard in my kitchen caused by my light switch. Thank you!
I hired Jim Beckwith on three separate occasions in 2015, and his work has been excellent. I plan on hiring him again as I complete the renovations of my condominium. Jim installed ceiling lights, ran new lighting into my rebuilt closets, installed electric baseboard heaters, checked my whole electrical system, and reinstalled my entire entire electric panel box to bring it up to current code. The panel formerly looked like a crow's nest. After Jim rebuilt it with a top quality Eaton steel box, it looks like a work of art--everything organized and labeled. I have recommended Jim to others who have hired him, and they are just as satisfied as I am. Jim makes it easy for clients to hire him. You just visit his website and add to the calendar the date and time you want him to do the work. He sends a confirmation email. He also sends text messages when he is on his way. He always arrives on time. This is what really amazed me after trying to work with other contractors who show up late or not at all and do not understand the meaning of communication. Jim is very personable and uses quality parts. Other "handymen" you tend to find online have a habit of using inferior quality products to shave costs. I prefer to pay a few bucks more and sleep well at night by buying quality parts and quality work, especially when comes to something as important as my home electrical system. Jim gets five stars from me on every count.
