JD's Plumbing and Heating runs on one guy: Jack, a Beverly plumber whose 42 Google reviews are unanimously five stars and keep circling back to the same trait — he shows up fast, even at night or on a holiday. When a hot water heater failed at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, he was at the door by 10 and had the replacement finished, plus a backlog of other plumbing, by 4:30 the next afternoon. The reviews describe real range in the work: a new boiler installed for less than competing quotes, a water heater replaced in under 24 hours, a gas leak near a stove tracked down and fixed the same day, and one visit where he knocked out a full list of jobs in a single afternoon — flushing an on-demand water heater, changing a filter, installing a shower head, snaking a drain, rebuilding a toilet. One reviewer whose fixture acted up after the main job got a next-morning fix with no argument about it. Pricing comes up almost as often as speed, and always in Jack's favor — customers call it fair, reasonable, or in a few cases well below what other plumbers quoted for the same work. His Massachusetts plumbing license is registry-verified active, and he's an Essex Tech graduate who does every job himself rather than sending a crew, which tracks with the consistency across four dozen reviews naming him by name. The company works Beverly and a wide stretch of the North Shore — Salem, Danvers, Peabody, Hamilton, Wenham, Swampscott, Lynn, Marblehead, Lynnfield, Middleton and Topsfield by its own account — and covers boilers, water heaters, drains, water lines and gas line work. Being a one-person operation, worth asking about timing on a busy week, but for a North Shore plumbing job the reviews line up on speed, price and follow-through.
Very responsive and diagnosed ( and explained) the problem thoroughly on short notice when I called near the end if the workday( and he came within half an hour ) ) Came back with the needed parts and had it fixed early the next morning. Let me know what it was going to cost in total right after the diagnosis. Great sevivce, 5 stars. .
Fabulous communication and amazing service. The Beverly Depot had a daytime function as well as a leak that prompted the water to be shut off. They responded immediately and arrived quickly to assess and solve the problem so we could open on time. Highly recommend!
Jack was extremely responsive and professional. We had a minor leak that he got repaired quickly. I highly recommend his services.
