JM Cabinets, Inc.

JM Cabinets is a New Bedford business run by Joseph Moniz, offering cabinet installation along with kitchen and bathroom remodel work; a directory listing states 22 years of experience. Its only written review, from 2018, described the owner — called 'Joe' — as patient and easy to work with, though it gives no other detail about the job itself. Worth knowing before calling: Massachusetts' Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation lists the company's Home Improvement Contractor registration (#194019) as inactive, and BuildZoom separately shows the related Carpenter license expired in December 2024. Massachusetts requires an active HIC registration for remodeling work like this, so confirm current status directly before signing anything. Given the thin written record and the licensing question, this is one to vet carefully — ask for proof of active registration and recent references before committing to a cabinet or remodel job.
