JMM Construction Corp.

JMM Construction Corp. is a woman-run, family-owned general contractor based on the South Shore that took on its first jobs in 2023, after owners Chris and Stephanie started the company following the birth of their son Jackson. Stephanie handles client communication and project planning while Chris leads the crew on site, and the company says it covers towns from Weymouth and Plymouth down through Cape Cod stops like Barnstable and Falmouth for kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, custom decking, and finish carpentry. The one publicly documented job customers can point to is a 2021 review on BuildZoom, where a Sagamore Beach homeowner called the company dependable and said Chris left a freshly painted space spotless, with no sign anyone had been working there. BuildZoom also lists the company under general contracting, additions, basements, bathrooms, custom home builds, decks, kitchens, and renovations, and tracks five projects in its permit records. Before booking, it's worth asking about licensing directly: BuildZoom credits the company, under owner Stephanie Mayne, with a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and three other licenses, but doesn't print the actual number to check against the state registry. Public reviews are also limited right now, just the one job described above, so ask to see recent, similar work. For a South Shore or Cape Cod homeowner planning a kitchen or bath remodel with a small, hands-on outfit, JMM is worth a call; confirm current licensing and recent references before signing on.
