Joao DePina is a Boston electrician working out of 4 Brinsley Street, handling panel upgrades, rewiring, and EV charger installs for homeowners across the area. The recurring theme in reviews is speed and follow-through — customers again and again mention he showed up on time, kept them updated through the job, and left the site clean. On Angi and HomeAdvisor, the record runs 4.9 out of 5 across 40 reviews on each platform. A 2023 review describes a level-2 EV charging station install that required rerouting wiring from the panel, and a 2022 review credits him with finishing an apartment-wide rewiring job ahead of schedule while keeping tenants comfortable during the work. Older reviews from 2018 and 2019 describe fuse-panel-to-breaker-panel conversions and meter relocations, so the pattern of praise runs back several years, not just recently. Both directories list a trade license (#13710, expiring 07/31/2028) for the business — that's the platforms' own listing, not something independently verified here. Anyone hiring him for panel or wiring work can point to a consistent five-year record across two platforms; it's worth confirming current availability and getting a written estimate up front, since none of the reviews on file mention pricing.
Joao was great! Professional and good communication to set up and do the job. Installed level 2 charging station which required quite a bit of work running appropriate wires from the electrical panel which his team did a great job with. Thank you and would definitely hire again for future electrical work needs!
Highly recommend Joao DePina. Extremely responsive, communicates all details of the job and kept us informed every day of progress. This was a complete upgrade of an apartment so it was major work. They were great with the tenants there, cleaned every day and even finished the job earlier than projected. The work was very good and the price fair. Same great service for a small job we had them do first. Will use them any time we need an electrician. Highly recommend.
Very pleasant and nice to work with thanks
showed up on time and fixed the problem
He was very professional, clean and respectful. He was very skilled at his profession. He did the work and the inspector approved is work. I would hire him again when I need electrical work done.
