Joe Goode Roofing

J.L. Goode Roofing is a Braintree, Massachusetts roofing contractor working in slate, copper, metal and conventional roofing, serving homes and businesses within about 30 miles of Braintree — including Quincy, Weymouth, Milton, Randolph, Canton, Dedham, Hingham, Norwell, Cohasset, Scituate, Boston, Brookline, Newton and Needham. The company says it continues the roofing and sheet-metal work of Beacon Cornice and Roofing, a family business the Ryman family started in 1916; Joseph Goode has owned and run the company since 1997, and the company reports 110 years in business. Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ rating and lists roofing, roof repairs, roof replacements, sheet metal work, light carpentry, slate repair and tar-and-gravel repair among its services. BBB lists a Massachusetts construction supervisor's license (#030229) and a home improvement registration (#102173) for the company; the company's own site cites different numbers for the same two license types — a construction supervisor's license (#82179) and a home improvement contractor's license (#125067). Worth confirming which license numbers are current directly with the state registry before booking, especially for slate or copper work planned outside the immediate Braintree area.
