Morrissette & Son Electrical Contractors works out of 230 Church Street in Whitinsville, the Northbridge village in southern Worcester County, under owner Jason P. Morrissette. Massachusetts' registry shows electrician licence 40170 active and held in his own name. The company also trades as Jason P. Morrissette Licensed Electrician and Innovative Generator Service, and describes its work as electrical, HVAC and generator installation and repair for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Generators are where the detailed praise sits. A November 2025 reviewer described a whole-house propane generator installed alongside a panel upgrade, with the permits ready in advance, the town gas inspection coordinated, and the property left clean; they have had the company back for yearly maintenance since. A January 2024 reviewer had a dead backup-generator battery dealt with during a snowstorm while the power was out, and said the crew plowed the rest of the driveway on their way out. An April 2023 reviewer, new to the company, had an urgent problem seen within hours. Getting hold of them is the recurring caveat. A 2022 Reddit commenter in r/WorcesterMA wrote that they 'can be a bit hard to get in touch with on the electrician side of things, always seems easier to get an HVAC appt', while still saying 'they do good work'. Google's own average — 3.9 from 19 ratings — sits below what the four readable reviews alone would suggest, so ask about current response times before you commit to a date. One thing to check first. The Better Business Bureau's file on the company carries an alert reading 'Out-of-Business known or suspected' and gives no rating for that reason — yet the state registry shows the owner's electrician licence active, and the most recent customer review is from November 2025. Confirm the company is still taking work before you plan around it. For a southern Worcester County homeowner who wants a standby generator installed and maintained by a licensed electrician who also handles the panel and the permits, this is a name worth a call — with that phone call doubling as your check that they are still trading.
“I've used Morrissette & Sons out of Northbridge. Can be a bit hard to get in touch with on the electrician side of things, always seems easier to get an HVAC appt. But they do good work.”
“Kyle has been to our house to assist with heating and air conditioning issues. He is always on time, professional and gets the job done right! Highly recommend!”
“Recently he rewired my new house. Some of my outlets were polarized (not good) and he went through each outlet and made sire they were probably wired. He switched all light fixtures and ceiling fans, and provided us with a light panel (for fan speed and light dimmer all in one).”
We moved into a new house and had a whole house generator system installed and connected to our propane system several years ago. Jason & his crew had the permits ready, They were great! Worked with the Town. As we had to do a upgrade of our panel and were connecting it to propane, we have to get a town gas inspection as well. Jason and crew were outstanding and meticulous. We have a whole house propane powered generator, and an upgraded panel. Their work on the panel was meticulous and they left my property as clean as they found it. We've had them back for routine maintenance yearly and we've been very happy. Now they are called RHC electrical services & Generators. I still work directly with Jason Morrissette and we are happy Whenever he works on our system or does a yearly maintenance call. Thorough and on time.
Morrissette was amazing- they came out promptly in the middle of a snowstorm to help us deal with a dead battery in our backup generator, while our power was out. On their way out they also helped plow out the remainder of my driveway. Truly one of a kind. We will be using them exclusively from now on. Many thanks to a great business!
Morissette was awesome. As new customers, we had an urgent issue. They got out to us in hours and did a great job. Fast, friendly and professional service, and the electrician was patient with our crazy dog and household. They came warmly recommended by family and lived up to the hype.
Not prompt and reattached wires twisted, not correct, now having problems. Asked siding contractor who hired him to get him back to correct it and it hasn't happened after a month. Not happy with either one right now. Dear Mr. Morrisette, My sincerest apologies as I was told it was the electrician just down the street- who did our work but I was I'll informed. My apologies again, truly at this point I wish you'd been able to do our work, it still isn't right. This experience of working with these contractors has been a nightmare for us. We like supporting local businesses. I will consider using your business if I need any electrical work done. It's sad when you are promised quality work and you don't get the job you expect. We've spent a third of our savings on this job and as close as we are to retirement it frightens us to think we won't be able to finance anymore work we need done.
