That is one side of Jones Services, a Goshen, New York HVAC, plumbing and electrical company that says it has worked the Hudson Valley since 1986. The other side is a run of one-star accounts about what the company tried to sell. The service calls cover a lot of ground. In April 2026 Stelia showed a homeowner the old well wires and pump and walked them through how the new ones would be installed; Justin H. ran a sewer line replacement that same month. A March 2026 customer had a frozen main water line thawed. In June 2025 a new air conditioning unit was in within two days, with the project manager and the installer each explaining the work as they went, and a June 2025 customer said Shawn found the simplest and least expensive fix. The one-star accounts point somewhere else. A November 2025 customer was told a part for their old furnace was no longer available and was quoted $7,500 for a new one; a brother-in-law in the same trade told them to cancel the contract immediately. A January 2026 account, posted to HomeAdvisor and repeated on Reddit, describes a boiler the customer says they did not need and $3,000 charged to rewire a problem that wasn't there, plus an investigation the company started and never came back on. On a January 2026 r/hudsonvalley thread, one poster said Jones quoted $1,900 and a two-week wait to jet out a clogged line, and several others told the thread to stay away. Two water-line jobs went wrong in the details. An October 2025 customer said Jones would not use the 3/4-inch lines they had supplied and used their own material to warranty the job instead, and that promises to repair the burst lines went unkept. A September 2025 customer said the technician had the wrong idea about where the bathroom water line ran, used coax instead of copper, and left without saying anything. Its Better Business Bureau page carries an A and lists the company as accredited, with nine complaints on file. Worth knowing before a diagnosis visit: in June 2026 Jason inspected a customer's furnace alongside the AC, showed them cracks in the heat exchanger and suggested a new system, which that customer was still considering when they wrote. For a repair or a maintenance visit — an AC that quit, a frozen line, a generator check — the named technicians are why people call back. For anything that ends in a replacement quote, get the diagnosis in writing, ask what the failed part alone would cost, and put the number next to a second estimate before you sign.
