The permits don't show that remodeling side, so treat it as the company's own description until you see finished examples. Two things to nail down before signing. BuildZoom says it verified a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #106501, as active in July 2026 — that is the directory's check rather than the state's, so look the number up yourself with Consumer Affairs. The two City of Newton licences the same page lists, both numbered #110902, carry a stated December 2022 expiration. And there are no customer reviews at all — BuildZoom says it has received none — so there is no homeowner verdict to weigh. Building new in the Merrimack Valley, the permit trail is the substantive part: a cluster of ground-up houses over three years, permitted and issued. Hiring them for a kitchen or bath instead means going on their own description, so ask for addresses of completed remodels and recent references first.
