JR Custom Shower Doors Glass Services

Two other glass places couldn't work out how to cut the glass around the bench and build the door without a frame — that's what a customer wrote in July 2025 about the job JR Custom Shower Doors took. Awkward glass is the work here: a tub under the slanted walls of an attic bathroom, in a March 2026 review; an unusually large panel maneuvered up a staircase, in April 2025; a door built around an adjoining window, in a January 2024 account. Byron runs the Waltham shop, with installer Erwin named alongside him in an April 2026 review, and the company says it has 23 years in the glass trade. Frameless shower enclosures are the bulk of it, though its site also lists mirrors, interior glass, sliding systems, storefronts and glass replacement for commercial customers. Speed shows up in the specifics. A door and three fixed panels went in in under three hours in April 2026; an October 2025 replacement of old tub doors took 2.5 hours; a February 2025 customer racing to put a house on the market got the door installed the day the materials arrived. Several reviewers say the quote came in under what they were hearing elsewhere — a February 2025 customer called it the best quote they received, and a January 2024 reviewer on Angi said the price beat the competition. A May 2026 customer called a few days after installation about a small problem, and says Byron came back that same day and fixed it. Other trades send work here too: in May 2025 one homeowner's general contractor subcontracted their custom shower to JR, and another that month came by way of a contractor friend's referral. The glass is made to order, so plan around the wait: an April 2026 customer's frameless door arrived inside the three-week window quoted, and a February 2025 order came in under three weeks. Expect two visits — one to measure, one to install, the sequence a June 2025 review describes. If your shower isn't a standard rectangle and you want the glass to look like it was made for it, this is the shop for that job. Settle the hardware and metal finishes at the measuring visit — an April 2026 review describes working through those choices with the team — and ask what the lead time on your glass is before you order.
