Jump Streets Movers is a Woburn-based mover that people call for local apartment and house moves, longer runs to New York and Maryland, and furniture that needs to be carefully broken down and rebuilt. On Google it holds a 4.7-star average across 163 ratings, and the volume of detail behind that number is unusual for a small mover — dozens of reviews name specific crew members (Zadi Portillo handles bookings and estimates; Jose, Junior, Jr., Victor, Osmond, and Johnny turn up repeatedly as movers) and describe the same things over and over: furniture wrapped in blankets and plastic, beds and other pieces disassembled and reassembled without drama, crews that show up on time and stick close to the quoted price. The specifics pile up: a three-man crew that finished a storage-to-apartment move faster than expected while leaving the unit clean; a crew that helped a customer who'd fallen behind on packing due to illness finish a Boston-to-Maryland move at no extra charge; movers who carried furniture up three flights of stairs for three straight hours without a break; a home-staging business that says it has used them Monday through Friday for years. Several reviewers mention using them a second or third time. That said, the record isn't spotless, and the complaints that exist are specific rather than vague. In August 2025, a cluster of 1-star reviews described last-minute cancellations — one customer said the crew canceled at 8am, the exact time they were due to arrive — refused deposit refunds, and a phone response one customer called rude and borderline threatening about leaving a review. A recent review describes being encouraged to book before being ready to confirm a date, then charged $500 after the company proceeded anyway when the customer tried to adjust it. In a 2025 review, a customer alleged stolen items and denied damage to a TV, and in a 2023 review a customer described a $120 "travel fee" that wasn't on the original estimate. A separate, unverified complaint on a consumer-complaint site accused the company of stealing boxes during an interstate move. Given how much detailed, consistent praise sits alongside a real but smaller set of specific deposit and cancellation complaints, it's worth locking down the cancellation policy, deposit terms, and a full itemized estimate — including any travel or supply fees — in writing before your moving date.
“Crooks from jumps street movers ... These fucking thiefs stole a few boxes when moving my belongings from New York to Florida”
I can't recommend Jump Street Movers highly enough! From the very first scheduling phone call to the moment they drove away after the move, the entire experience was absolutely outstanding. They arrived exactly on time, first meeting us at our storage unit, then heading to our apartment, and finally moving everything into our new home. The whole team was incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional throughout the day. They handled all of our belongings with great care, making what could have been a stressful move feel completely seamless. What really impressed us was that they even took the time to fix a piece of furniture that had been damaged by a previous moving company. They didn't have to do that, but they did it anyway, and it says a lot about how much they care about their customers. There were no hidden charges or surprises—just honest, excellent service from start to finish. Mario and his team were absolutely awesome and went above and beyond every step of the way. Without a doubt, this was the best moving experience we've ever had. We'll definitely be calling Jump Street Movers for any future moves!
My Husband Kim and I use Jump Streets Movers and were delighted to have Osmond and Johnny take care of us. EXCELLENT wrapping and protecting our furniture. We are very pleased and would recommend them highly. Sincerely, Susan
