- Careful handling — gentle with bulky furniture during loading
UniMovers Boston works local apartment moves - the kind with narrow stairwells, no elevator, and furniture that doesn't want to cooperate. Google currently shows 32 ratings averaging 5 stars. In 2020 reviews, customers described a crew clearing a five-floor walk-up with no elevator and getting a full apartment moved in under two hours, and another job that would have taken a customer four hours on their own finished in about one. One reviewer recalled the crew working out a plan to get an oversized couch up to a second-floor unit after an initial attempt didn't go smoothly. A separate 2020 review described careful handling of bulky furniture loaded into a truck for a local move, and another mentioned a masked, socially-distanced move during the early pandemic. For a move involving tight stairs or an awkward piece of furniture, these accounts suggest it's worth asking directly how the crew would plan around it - that's the specific kind of problem customers have described them solving before.
