Kastlebridge, LLC is a Boston design-build firm whose listed work includes custom homes, architectural design, bathroom design, garage design, and barn construction. Its Houzz profile also describes custom cabinetry, windows, interior and exterior doors, garage doors, and design plans for kitchens, baths, libraries, closets, laundry rooms, restaurants, and hospitality spaces. The profile lists an NKBA credential and Massachusetts Unrestricted License CS-107135. The written track record is small and dated: one five-star Houzz review from August 22, 2016. That homeowner described a difficult custom French-door project involving five steel-reinforced, nine-foot doors with beveled mirrors, saying the design matched the historic architecture, functioned as intended, and improved the home's value and quality of life. Houzz reports a 5.0 average from one rating, while BBB lists an A+ grade and says the business is not accredited. Before booking, confirm current availability, scope, pricing, and that the license details remain current. The dated single-review history supports a specific custom-door success, but it does not establish a broad or recent pattern across many projects. Kastlebridge appears best suited to clients seeking bespoke architectural elements or design-build work who are comfortable verifying the current portfolio and references.
This is referral for custom French doors designed, built and installed by Kastlebridge. After getting quotes and ideas from multiple designers and builders, Don and Maria of Kastlebridge were the only team that could handle the job--and they exceeded our expectations. The challenge was to design and build a set of doors that when closed would essentially be a wall, and when opened, would essentially disappear. Pocket doors were not consistent with the ornate architecture of our luxurious home, and we did not want tracks on either the ceiling or the floor. With our input, Don and Maria came up with perfect design: five custom, steel-reinforced, 9-foot high doors covered with four beveled mirrors each. The design completely matched and even enhanced the rest of the 19th century architecture. Besides being beautiful, the doors are also 100% functional. In the closed position, the doors are just as effective as a wall at blocking sound and light. When open, the doors offer the feel of open concept--which is exactly the feeling we asked them to provide. The doors from Kastlebridge tremendously improved the value of our home and our quality of life--we would recommend Kastlebridge for any challenge.
