KB Carpentry

Deck building, repairs and resurfacing bring homeowners to KB Carpentry. The company says Ken Braun founded the Plymouth business in 2019 and runs it himself, with his brother Kevin handling scheduling, bookkeeping and administration remotely. Its stated service area covers the South Shore and Cape Cod, and its advertised work extends to porches, siding, windows, doors, roofing and home repairs. A customer writing in August 2026 described hiring KB after another contractor became ill and left a composite-deck project unfinished. KB completed the remaining deck skirting and stair picture framing within a day and a half, according to that customer. A July reviewer described a 1,100-square-foot TimberTech deck and said Ken worked on the job himself, communicating throughout planning and construction. Another July customer praised deck resurfacing at a reasonable price. KB also takes on work inside the house. In a July 2026 review, a customer described an unfinished walk-up attic transformed into a work area, relaxation area and three-quarter bathroom. The account described strengthening floor joists, squaring and sealing the room, and providing water, drainage and power. The same reviewer said Ken had replaced the front-porch decking in 2025. Older customers describe details of how their projects were handled. A January 2026 reviewer said a deck and French-door replacement finished on time, with a detailed quote and no surprise costs despite additional siding and trim work. The customer described Ken explaining concerns about a door's locking system and arranging a conversation with his door specialist. In May 2024, a deck customer described the handling of permitting and sign-offs from town boards, along with daily updates containing photographs of completed work. The company's Massachusetts construction supervisor licence and home improvement contractor registration are active, with Kenneth Braun named as the registry holder. Its BBB grade is A+, and Google reports a five-star average from 56 ratings. A September 2022 reviewer described roof and exterior-trim replacement, interior structural renovation, and later window and siding work on an older home with water leaks and rot. An August 2022 customer reported three separate projects, including a finished basement and window and siding work. When minor storm-door issues arose after installation, that customer said Ken and the team returned at 7 a.m. the day after being notified to fix them.
