Highlights
- Registry-verified credential — Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration 189754 confirmed active by the state
- Deep, sustained record — 48 reviews from 2020 to 2026 across five sources, averaging 4.8 from 49 ratings on the largest
- Owner on the job — recent customers credit dealing with the owner directly for the advice, pricing and scheduling they got
- Speed and price recur — the consistent praise across years is fast turnaround at a fair, transparent quote
- Full material range — vinyl, wood, chain link, agricultural and ornamental metal fencing plus railings and stairs
- After-the-job follow-up — the newest review, from July 2026, describes a sagging gate and broken latch met with silence after two messages
- A repeated pattern, not a one-off — an earlier one-star account on the dated record raises the same unanswered-callback complaint
- Thin corroboration on the small directories — two sources show five stars off a single review, and it is the same customer counted more than once
- An unedited template website — stock staff names, placeholder copy and zeroed counters mean the site states nothing reliable about the business
Kenny G Fence & Railings LLC is a fencing and railing contractor based on Margin Street in Hyde Park, run by owner Kenroy Brackenridge, and it holds a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, number 189754, that the state registry confirms is active. It works across the fence materials homeowners actually shop for — wood, vinyl, chain link, aluminium, steel and ornamental metal — and also installs and repairs railings and stairs. The customer record is deep for a business this size: 48 reviews spanning 2020 to 2026 across five separate sources, with a 4.8 average from 49 ratings on the largest of them. The praise is consistent and it clusters on the same three things year after year — speed, price and dealing with the owner directly. Recent customers describe him coming out for an estimate and offering advice they had not been given elsewhere, pricing a job reasonably and then hitting a tight schedule; one this spring singled out the crew's attention to detail on a fence installation, another a vinyl fence delivered on time with communication they rated as highly as the work. Reviewers repeatedly name Kenny himself rather than a salesperson, and several say the crew cleaned up properly. The part worth asking about is what happens after the crew leaves. The most recent review on file, from July 2026, is a one-star account from a customer whose fence and gate were installed a year earlier: the gate progressively sagged and then the latch broke, and when they messaged asking only which replacement part to buy, they were told it would be taken care of and then got no reply to two further attempts. That is not a complaint about the installation — the same reviewer says the crew was nice and worked quickly — it is a complaint about follow-up going silent, and it is the second one-star on the record to describe that same pattern of unanswered callbacks. Against 48 reviews that is a minority, but it is the one recurring theme in the negative column. A second thing to know is that this company's public footprint is thinner than it looks. Two of the five sources carry a single review each, and that review is the same customer appearing on multiple platforms rather than separate corroboration — so the 5.0 headlines on the smaller directories rest on the same person the larger platform already counted. The company's own website is also largely an unedited template, carrying stock staff names, placeholder text and counters that read zero, so nothing on it should be treated as a statement of fact about the business. This is a sensible call if you want a fence or railing installed quickly at a fair price by a hands-on owner with a verified state registration and a six-year public track record. Before you sign, get the workmanship warranty in writing — specifically who fixes gate hardware and post settling, and for how long — and confirm HIC 189754 yourself on the Mass.gov Consumer Affairs registry.

They installed a fence and a gate for me a year ago. The crew was nice and they got the job done quickly. Since then the gate has sagged, I made adjustments and moved on. It sagged more, I adjusted more, etc. Didn’t think it was worth complaining about. Then the latch on the gate broke. I messaged Kenny to ask him what kind of latch I can replace it with, he said he’d take care of it -which I appreciated. Then, nothing. I reached back out twice, didn’t hear back from him. I don’t want a repair -I want to know what part to replace the latch with. But he disappeared. If you expect to be happy with his work beyond a year’s time, I don’t recommend working with Kenny.

Kenny and his team are amazing. Dealing with the owner/operator makes a huge difference. He came to our house and quickly gave us great advise no one thought of. He hires great people and his pricing was very reasonable. He has excellent communication and did the job on my tight schedule. Thank you Kenny! You are the best.
