Verified record
Kitchen Annex is a kitchen and bath design and remodeling company based in Westwood, Massachusetts, working on custom cabinetry, countertops and full kitchen layouts. The written record is thin and dated — three Houzz reviews spanning 2017 to 2021, with nothing on file since. Two of them, from 2018 and 2021, describe installs that stalled badly: incorrect crown molding and damaged cabinet doors that took months to replace, a tile floor one homeowner says was broken during work and never fixed, and an owner, Pete, reviewers say grew hard to reach once problems came up. A third review, from 2017, reads very differently — it credits designer Lynn Constantino with hands-on, budget-conscious guidance picking countertops and finishes. Before booking, it's worth asking directly about project timelines and how issues get resolved once installation begins — that's the specific thread running through the negative reviews. Houzz also lists a license number for the company, though that number is the directory's own claim and has not been checked against the state registry. With nothing on file in the past several years, there isn't much recent evidence either way — worth confirming current ownership, staffing and turnaround times directly before committing to a project.

Pete showed up to give me an estimate. I had water damage and had No idea the headache that would consume my life for 7 months. I will say this .GO WITH YOUR GUT!!! I DID NOT!! because of the new kitchen design Pete showed me ... I 100% wished I stopped there.... He sold me on fact that he could do it He CAN NOT. Everything in my house has to be redone. He only swings by to collect checks. NEVER FIXED ANYTHING CORRECT. Never finished my kitchen, still waiting on my spice rack and my bigger cabinet drawers. He broke my tile floor hasn't replaced that. All he has is excuses. He takes no responsibility or accountability for his actions or his craftsmanship. And then when you try to call him out on his wrongdoings he goes dark and just abandoneds you. Wouldn't call him professional may be more like a man child.
FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO ! I will start with the good – Lynn, she has done nothing but try to make us happy in our miserable experience with this place. Though, it seemed like every time I needed her, it just so happen to be her day off. But she really tried her best, being the middle man between us and the business owner Pete, to help us. The bad and ugly– Pete. If I could give a negative review I would. We received a lot of damaged product (not his fault). Install was beginning of February, day one they were told we had one piece of incorrect crown, it is now July and they still have not given me the replacement. Day four into install, noticed lots of damaged doors, took until June to get them even though they had them at the Kitchen Annex in March. Was given the run around, finally told they would deliver them, a man who had worked for them for two days showed up at my house with a box of knobs, which was never mentioned or needed. It then took until June, and a threat of a small claims, to get the correct items. Pete dumped them in my garage and took off down the drive way. How is that a professional way to ensure the customer is happy, especially after he knew I wanted to inspect them before accepting them. We were also sent the incorrect pantry cabinet, which we spend thousands on, which was an error on the Kitchen Annex part. We agreed to compensation for this instead of holding up install 6-8 weeks for a new one. Pete told me he had mailed a check for this in March, then was supposed to deliver with the replacement parts. As of July, still have not received. This is the short, condensed version. Overall, Pete is a man child, he is THEE most unprofessional person I have EVER met. He is a horrible business person and does not care a single iota about his customer’s happiness with the product or customer service. I have reached out to the cabinet manufacturer to hopefully get some resolution on the matter.
Lynn Constantino , designer at kitchen annex In Westwood is absolutely fabulous. She has a lot of knowledge and keeps your budget in mind. She has an easy going manner and very easy to work with. She really listens. To what you are wanting. She actually went "shopping " with me to find counter tops, knobs, and paint.
